I had £24000 in bonds until August which were purchased over a 4 year period.

For the last 2 years I've been averaging £1200 per year in winnings with my biggest win being £1000 about 3 years ago.

I decided to cash them in and open a Kaupthing account where I could gain about an extra £100 a year.

I was advised by a financial advisor years ago to cash them in and by a bigger consolidated lot as he reckons the bigger bonds have a better chance of the larger prizes.

I've now stuck the money back into premium bonds as it's the safest place at present imho.

1x £5000 has the same probability of winning as 5000x £1.

I put some of my Kaupthing Edge money back in Premium Bonds as they are a lot safer than most of the banks.

  • I got 1 x £50 for November on a holding of £10,000+
My daughter got 1 x £100 on a holding of £1000, its the 2nd win she's had the first being £100 as well.

Since I started buying bonds montly £50 via standing order, I'm winning regularly, In the last 12 months I've had 10 x £50 wins, coincidence or what? Never won this many times before and I've had bonds for years.
