    Good month for me.

    6 x GBP50 prizes (how strange?)

Well, I am glad I have cashed in this waste of time. As stated above, we hold the max between us (£60k), and our total winnings again this month was 1 X £50. I won't be dipping my toes into this pool again, it has cost us dear.

I have everything crossed as I could do with a boost right now and don't want to have to cash them in for a short term cash flow problem - I love my PBs but that is one of the reasons they are there you can always get your money back if you need it.

You can get your cash from most savings a/c's and cash-ISA's much faster than from PB's.

We did 2x £30k for the last six months and our total winnings were:

    Aug £0 (invested this month)
    Sep £650
    Oct £300
    Nov £100
    Dec £100
    Jan £150
    Feb £100

Total £1,400 or an equivalent of 4.0% including the "dead" month at the beginning.

Mutton Geoff ~ You are proving what happened to us, and I have heard, to many others. You start off well with new bonds, our first month was £400, but from there it all dropped down, down, down. We have gone 3 months at a time with no wins at all, and a couple of 2 months with not even a sniff of a win.

On another site someone recommended that you sold after 6 months and repurchased, but that means more than a month of 'dead money', and it also means they are not as random as they should be on the selection of winners?

Oh, and just been talking to my sister about this, she has held £25k for 18 months, and has totalled £850 in wins!

Apart from that above, why is the winning rate expected to be just 3.5%, I always thought PB were supposed to pay out in line with the current interest rates?

I cashed in 12.5K (in small denominations) in February after around 18 months, which got me just 3 x £50.

I bought new 5K in one block in January, and have just won 2 x £50 prizes in their first draw.

But I guess that's probably going to be my lot now! :rotfl:

It's strange how things go. Last year I won pretty much every month including £10K in June.
However, this year I've won nothing. I have the full holding but think I may now cash them in and stick it in my ICICI account. I doubt I'd ever get another 'big' win anyway. I reckon I've had my slice of luck!!

Hi guys, not been on here in ages as my PBs don't tend to do so well whereas my partner's do ok but this month I got 3 x £50 whereas he got nothing so thought my luck might be changing, or his is just getting worse, lol.

We both hold £30,000 and here's how we've done for the last few months:

    Me

    Sep: 2 x £50
    Oct: 2 x £50
    Nov: -
    Dec: £100 + £50
    Jan: £50
    Feb: -
    Mar: 3 x £50

    Total: £550

    Him

    Sep: 3 x £50
    Oct: £100 + £50
    Nov: £50
    Dec: 2 x £50
    Jan: 3 x £50 + £100
    Feb: £50
    Mar: -

    Total: £750

    Overall total: £1300

    :j

He won a £500 at some point last year too. He's way luckier than me.
