Was given a £1 bond for my 1st birthday in 1957. Was given a £10 bond in approx 1968. Haven't won a sausage. Ever.:snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0

My daughter has got £100 worth which at the time had them for about 6 months and won £100. SO doubled her money. I put that £100 back into more so she now has £200. She hasnt won any more since though. My other daughter also has £100 but hasnt won anything. I have a few but have only ever won £50's, and ive had mine for a few years. I was very suprised at my daughters win of £100 with £100 holding.0

            I'll add my 5p worth.
Each bond has 1 in 24000 chance each month. If you have 1 bond you might have won once by now if you had bought it 2000 years ago!! The 3%(whatever) return rate is the overall rate(i.e. 3% of total money invested) that they pay out, you might never get anything.
My pet winge is the extra £1m prize means £1m less for the rest of us(20000 fewer £50s) unless I win it of course(yeah right!).0

I've had £15K for about 5years and win £50 or £100 most months, total so far this year £700. A reasonable tax free return, and still the chance of a big win!!0

            From 10 x £1 bonds bought in 1956 I have won nothing.
We now have £53K between the two of us and have won £1200 since May. The largest prize was £500 last month.............not too good is it?0

To hold Premium Bonds, do you need to be a tax paying and or UK resident?
I intend to buy some bonds as a UK taxpayer before moving to NZ. Am I allowed?
 hope someone can help0

Have a look here for T&Cs http://www.nsandi.com/ (site not responding too well at the mo...)
Pretty sure you can hold them as an expat - I've seen 'Overseas' in the winners lists where they show the County.0

My children have £220 of bonds each bought by grandma. My oldest son has won £150 so he has done well but the other two boys have won nothing yet (over 4 years).0
