Tip to avoid being overcharged on number of bottles of wine consumed by large party - tell all concerned that when a bottle's finished you'll put it under the table. When bill comes, compare with your empty bottles. (Probably a good idea to check there are none under there before you start, though!) The restaurant staff shouldn't have a problem with this - I've seen it happen on a couple of occasions.
    Great bit of advice
  • sorry, but this is a professional business & shouldn't be making glaring errors like this. its fate it probably sealed - down the toilet.

    'error' implies it wasn't planned?

So all agreed then ripping off people in the UK is not on as the government are the only ones allowed to rip us off with drink.

P.S Has any one ever tried any of this binge they keep going on about? It sounds strong could I handle a pint of binge?

    Yes it is.

Although I believe the stabbing was not the owners fault etc so we do not need to bring it into this thread.

Feel free to discuss the quality of their food (Which is pretty good), their hygeine which is allegedly "Satisfactory with room to improve" or that they have allegedly overcharged a number of us MSE members on the drinks.

So avoid this restaurant but if you do go there keep a very very careful eye on the drinks

The good reviews outweigh the bad. I wonder if all those are genuine?

The good reviews are highly suspicious, the reviewers have all just joined and posted one post. They go into far more detail than you would expect which rings alarm bells.

There is one good review from someone that has made numerous reviews and that is the only one I would believe is actually true
