....these posts have made me laugh
I use Quilted velvet and yes, purely for the luxury and yes guidanufino, if I'm going to use more toilet roll than the men in the house, then I'll have what i want, I'm sure if consumption is measured, men do use more as they are practically sitting on the toilet before they've finished their meal!!!
At the moment, triple velvet is on special for 99p for 4 in my local garage (Londis I think) but I love my quilted velvet. I do always buy the larger packs and try to buy it when it's on special.
But, I'm looking to reduce my shopping bill and it may mean changing my beloved loo roll. Was thinking of Lidls, my mother in-law gets them and the printed pattern looks nice if nothing else0 -
Been trying to save money on shopping bills. If you have a Farm Foods nearby take a look. They have 9 pack of loo rolls for £2. They are soft and smell of aloe vera!! They seem to last as well.0

Morrison's currently have Charmin on offer at £5 for 16 rolls - at Lidl it's 24 rolls for £5.69.
Guess where I buy them.....0 -
B&M (mostly in N of England) sell Nouvelle at good prices too - last time I was there (Christmas) they had 9-packs for £2 and an even better deal of 4 + 2 free for £1, if I remember correctly.0

Nouvelle are on offer in Morrison's @ the mo - 2x 4-pk for £2.50. Mind u, I always have 1 Andrex Aloe Vera (bought on offer) on the loo-roll pole so I can wash my bum with a couple of wetted sheets; it lasts weeks.:o0

I cannot believe anyone still buys toilet roll that is not made from RECYCLED paper. In fact I can't believe its still legal to sell it.
DISGRACEFUL!
All go out and save yourself a few pennies - and stuff the planet at the same time. Good on you. NOT. Why not get a conscience and buy recycled instead. By all means save money - personally I buy Nouvelle. But I never buy it at full price. I buy it in bulk when its on offer - which is often, so there's no excuse.
I recycle most things but I draw the line at recycling my toilet paper lol0 -
hi i shop in a cooltraders shop which sell Nouvelle toilet roll (4pack) for an amazing 99p - my local sainsburys charges £1.89 - nearly buy 2 packs for the same as sainsburys charge. :T0

Do other couples have this issue and how have you resolved it? I do use quite a lot of TP but do have IBS and also think life's too short to scrimp on certain necessities, such as TP.0

started this thread just to inform on a price offer - unleashed an insight into everyones loo-roll preferences and toilet habits - hurrah for this site, lots of fun0

I always buy the Nouvelle from Netto. Every month they have packs of 18 for under £4. I purchase one pack a month until we get a build up. We used to pay nearly £2 for 4 rolls at Asda/tesco.
So we get the recycled brand that we like with considerable saving.0
