Hello ladies,
Well I have survived, just, our local NCT sale. It sort of grew like topsy and in the end was a bit too big for my comfort. So very busy and frantic shopping went on! :j Paperwork and money to pay back to be dealt with over the next week - but have plenty of help.
So next week I must start reclaiming my home - so will be folloowing the list - every day! Have started today by checking my unsold items carefully and putting at least half aside for the charity shop or freecycle.
Now more sorting, a drink or two and awaiting what goodies DH returns with for supper. Cheers ladies,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Oh thank you soappie, I threw a proper strop when I couldn't find any (my what's in the freezer list is well out of date) and I don't know if I snapped one of the drawers
I do love a good lasagne but - What's all those green bits? I am pleased yours won't look like that, definately not enough cheese sauce and the pasta looks dry, I am sure you can do much better! I'm some what a lasagne addict and have eaten it 4 times last week because I made extra
With the dog, no I can't do hormonal dogs, thankfully Megan is well past breeding now and the rest have always been 'done'. Megan when she was used for breeding would smash her way through the gate to escape, if a door opened the hussy was away, even jump the gate which she never did at other times, she chewed everything in sight, she was horrible!
Right, have squished off the bits of my list that I have done, definately made a good start. Boys just eating suppers now. Mine should be reheated soon, awaiting a DING :rotfl: Will get them medicined and put to bed as soon as I have eaten, wash down I think tonight rather than bathing them both, then bath for mea nice soak seeing as he's away. After I finish my list of course, or most of it at least.
DING - that'll be mine, ttfnOne day I might be more organised...........

Oooo, I went to my first NCT sale today, got there early, not too many people and had got what I went for and was out in ten minutes! was glad it happened like that because I don't like crowds and was dreading what it might be like after hearing many stories!
I am sooo fed up at the moment, I feel like I have no motivation for anything. I can't keep up with the flying - does it get easier when LO goes to nursery? I feel guilty for flying because I am not playing with DS, and then feel guilty for not flying!!!He is fifteen months old and I just feel overwhelmed by pretty much everything at the moment. I am trying to do an evening class in photography which I am struggling with and can't find the oomph to get on with the coursework that is needed for it. Our financial situation is dire and really doesn't seem to be getting any better no matter how hard I try. Sorry this must seem so self pitying - I guess pretty much everyone is in the same situation though, sorry to go on, I'll leave it there.

am i being unreasonable? honest answers please.
oh's parents stayed last night with their dogs. this meant we had to find homes for our cat and dog overnight because their dogs aren't well behaved, chase cats etc. they're now staying in a caravan till next saturday.
next saturday we're going to a 40th birthday party, been planned for ages and my two children are going to my mums overnight...only the second time they've done this so big event.
oh just come home and said his parents are staying next saturday so the children can't go to my mums and i have to find a home for the cat and dog again. am i being unreasonable thinking he could at least have asked and talked to me, the kids, my mum, before saying yes? if i am being unreasonable please tell me to belt up.
ps anyone want a dog and cat for a night!!0 -
No mudbath you are not being unreasonable!! Especially when they let the flea ridden mutts lay all over your tablecloths! I suppose you will miss out on the party as well if they are staying til then?Make £5 a day challenge - April

we wouldn't have to miss the party as they want to babysit only they're not really used to young (ish) children and just yell a lot. thing is, i don't really want to go to the party if i can't get a home for the dog and cat because i know they let the dogs upstairs so the cat wouldn't be safe. my mum doesn't really want the cat again because her cat has gone into a decline. she'll have the dog again though so only one home to find.
by the way - oh is probably reading this upstairs and no, i'm not talking behind your back, i've said all this to your face.0 -

No, personally I'd belt him over the head and say not a chance! Plans have already been made, its our house and his parents can get lost! :rotfl::rotfl:
Well the freecyclers have been and collected the stuff, and I have 4 boxes of stuff to list on ebay - mainly clothing belonging to DD which I shall be getting on with soon. Turbolister FINALLY updated for me without throwing a wobbler so hopefully I should be able to get the stuff listed soon
Right, need to go and find the kitchen from the pile of dirty dishes:wave:

Mudbath I would stick to your guns, your parents are probably just as happy for your kids to be staying with them as they are to be going. The IL's can babysit another time so that you and OH can have another night out kid free. Regardless of whether they stop of not I would still stick to the arrangements already made with your mum and lay ground rules about which animals can go where in your home.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0

Oh blimey Mudbath, fleas can be a nightmare, have you got some good treatment in the house? Sorry in my opinion no animal should be left untreated with fleas, poor things. Animals are banned from upstairs in my house, noones animals including mine go upstairs.
Right, fleas out of the way, no sorry I wouldn't stand for it, DP said yesterday 'well we'll have to lock the dogs in the garden when Grandma is here' sorry, no, not a hope! They are my animals, they live here as we do, tough, she'll have to cope with it. She kept dogs most of her life so she's not making me put mine outside for the one time she chooses to visit us after not bothering for 7 years. If someone wanted to stay here who had dogs which wouldn't get on with my animals their animals would have to be put in kennels or left with their relatives or something because I wouldn't allow them to stay. Goes without saying aswell that noone looks after my children who is not used to dealing with children, noone who would upset them in any way would ever look after them, MIL isn't allowed after upsetting DS1, they aren't allowed to stay at my parents house or with both of them together because they bicker between themselves which upsets them.
Dinner eaten, boys in bed, not asleep yet, hoping the clocks changing and the darker mornings might alter their 'wake up time' as they call it, because 4-5.30am is not funny or clever.
**Edit** found some Ben and Jerry's low fat choc fudge brownie in my freezer jiggle, if anyone wants some......One day I might be more organised...........

Kids all watching charlie and the chocolate factory. BLISS.:rotfl:
Been sitting having a think and i really need to clear the house out before all the building and stuff starts but it's totally freaking me out, where do i start? the attic needs to be totally empty and the house needs to have very little in it to. Need to come up with a good plan to totally de-clutter the house, hoping to get a good bit of it done when PIL are away, they leave trailer empty, they come home trailer full:rotfl:
Any suggestions on how to do this would be gratefully appreciated.
Right charlies over so time to get kiddies to bed.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0
