    Afternoon

Done my Saturday clean through the house so just catching up on here. Loving all the photos guys, and big well dones for the room clearances :T

I got the right to buy price off the council for my house and after working out the figures looks like it's a goer, it's such a big step though especially as I'm on my own I think I'll be umming and arrring for a while yet lol, it's too big a discount to knock back though in reality. There'll be no homeowner loans on it though - which is sensible but I would have liked to have been able to do the house up - guess I'll be saving for one thing at a time instead (grrrrrr lol)

Still got the floors to mop, which I'll do once I get myself to Asda for a proper mop and bucket (those sticky pad mop things are crap) but here's my list

    bring bag of rubbish down

    wash bathroom suite
    clear empty bottles etc
    hoover/clean floor
    wash paintowrk doen

Spare room is tidy again but the airer is up in there again - the sunshine didn't last and it's now tipping down. I've run out of Flying steam so I've only Dysoned the livingoom and nothing else. Apart from hotspots and ironing I do believe I'm up to date indoors! Sit down finance update next and write a mammoth shopping list for payday. Then I'm off out for the evening, the ex Mr Messy is having some friends over and it seems I'm still one of them. Which is nice.
TTFN, good luck with decorating/room clearing/stock taking/ generally surviving a wet Saturday. Solway x

This thread certainly does motivate, Mark is due home from the airport in the next 30 minutes and all i have to do is make him a cuppa and sit down a relax. Thats a first. The dinner is all prepared.

Thanks ladies for the support and i am more than sure that i will be logging in on Monday at some point to get me going xx
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

I am going to get a bit extra though in case I take a fancying to cushions and other such junk!

DS3 was 'stuck' down the side of the sofa because he had to do some tidying.. he was released with a sharp slap on the rear.. very stuck!

Well, well, well. There's interesting. I live v. close to a football stadium. A little while ago, I saw two policemen dressed up in riot gear walk past the end of my garden. Just now, there's two mounted police trotting by. Most unusual! They must be expecting trouble - the horses looked quite cute with their high visibility blankets on to keep the rain off!

 If any ORF ops are seriously bored (or expect to be) and seriously nosey and want, I could reposition Buster to view the place where trouble happens, if it's going to happen, and put him on at the pertinent time (around 4.30 - 5.30) and you could watch the goings on from the safety and comfort of your own home. :D Let me know by 4.15 and I'll reposition:cool:

All beds are changed and bedrooms hoovered. Kitchen & bathrrom s&s.
Will start afresh with the proper lists next week.

Made 12 Apple muffins at request of DS1, 12 choc butterfly cakes and 12 fruit fairy cakes. OH says he's really enjoying me baking again.

DS2 asked when BM is going on, he actually wants to eat my bread, he is so fussy and wont eat some breads. Well, its going on tomorrow morn.

I'm off to play on the wii for 1/2 hour while DS1 is out. What he doesn't know about......;)

AnW'smum, got to take the positive from life regarding DH love of computer games. :T

Sorry to hear the visit was tough on you. I can't imagine how your feeling but I am sure OH would not want you to be upset about the visit. (((hugs cos I don't know what else to say)))

So far I have been good :D

Yesterday we did loads in the garden. Layed more slabs, dug out the, well I call them troughs but they are just the bit next to the steps with dirt in, and one lonely conifer. Planted a little conifer I got at christmas and a heather plant. Later the dog went and dug up the heather and ate it so I was like

Question for gardeners! DH sat a basin of motor oil in the biggest trough and it ended up spilled. Tried to dig it into the soil but it's now just a sticky boggy mess. Will plants die if planted there? It needs topped up with soil and I was going to plant more mini-conifers in it with some stones on top to stop the mutt and rabbit digging them up. What do I do???

    Today I have

    hoovered downstairs
cleaned sofas (I love leather too)
moisturised sofas (make stehm look new again, I need more of the stuff)
    polished living room

And I got kids to tidy their toys away. Lots of games with a bucket to fill with toys. I need to go up and hoover and clean the room now.

hey, well, I made a start in the garden, but then it rained. I've listed 3 things on ebay and that is about it....I'll be glad when the weekend is over. The children don't go back till thursday, but I need them to sort their rooms out anyway. I think they are going to need my help, though, otherwise I;m not sure they'll get rid of anything!
I'll catch up with you all on Monday...

At the risk of sounding really thick, how can people watch what's going on?
