Just a quick check in, I can't believe what some of you have to put up with regarding families. I haven't really got any similar experiences. I wouldn't be prepared to change my plans unless I wanted to.

I am not an animal lover, sorry, but if I was, I don't think mine would be the ones finding alternative homes. My sister recently bought a Husky, he is gorgeous, but I was dreading her bringing him to my house. She knows I don't do pets and has thankfully refrained. DS2 has been known to have a reaction to some animals and suffers with his chest at times.

Gosh, re-reading this, I bet I sound really hard. Don't mean to upset anyone, it is just my opinion.

    Evening all

Frankie - did you get your raised beds done? Are you using timber?
Vanilla - is your DD's tooth out?
MOAM - glad your NCT sale went well
Mudbath - I can't really advise what to do, my DH would not have agreed to what your's has without discussing it and I wouldn't have done it to him either so hard to tell but if I was put in that situation I would push to stick to the original plan. Will you Mum and Dad be upset?

    No flying done here.

MS this morning then on to shops to get DS1 some walking boots for his school trip.
Visit my FIL, SIL neice and SIL boyfriend - mix up with arrangements - I thought it was going to be next weekend but thanks to flying house was ok and I just got a few extra bits in ASDA.

Bit of an accident - DS2 throw a basketball which smashed the living room window and covered the room in glass - Some of it landed over 10ft across the room - biggest problem was DS3 was sitting by the window and a piece of flying glass cut his face - 1mm from his eye! It so could have been worse. It bleed quite a bit and the poor mite was very shocked. I have steristriped it closed. It held for a couple of hours then started again so I redid it with a larger strip. I wonder if it will be a black eye in the morning.

Going to bed soon as I am really tired now must upload results first.

Plan to get bathroom and DS1 room done tomorrow plus sort out all the boxes of clothes from the loft to see what I have that will fit them and what I will need to buy.

I'd never take my pets to stay with someone, unless they asked, and all the pets got on.

I'd also not expect someone to put their pets out because I was going there. My dog goes in the kitchen when people come here because he is a jumpy-uppy little sod but if they want a cig then tough, the kitchen is his after all.

Mudbaths OH, you should have discussed the plan first. Maybe the other mum was looking forward to having the kids? Why bother arranging a new plan if there was a good one to begin with? Why would you want the kids at home if you had the chance to come home to an empty house and you could have had lots of noisy sex in every room? Now you can't and it's all your fault!

Just to add, I was a VERY good girl today!

DH called to say there was a laptop with 6mnth guarantee going in cash cinvertors for £300. It was a sony, 200gb hard drive and all fancy pants with the memory etc. He asked if I wanted it...

And I said no. I said I'd rather SAVE!!!! I think I have turned a corner!

Dusty hope your little DS is ok in the morning, that must have been one heck of a shock, fingers crossed there is no black eye.

:rotfl: just nearly tittled myself laughing at tiamai's reply, good point that one. I would never even take my dogs to someone elses house to visit for a minute unless they asked (only ever happened once) never mind to stay over.

Oh and tiamai well done on refusing the laptop, you could probably buy a similar or better one for that sort of money. I dislike cash converters because of what they stand for aswell as their over priced goods. Thankfully isn't one too close to me.

Oh dusty hope your DS3 doesn't end up with a black eye. Some shock.
DD's tooth didn't come out but DD keeps asking is it ready to come out yet.:rotfl:

    Evening Ladies.

Not been on for the last couple of days. I now have a 3 bedroomed house!!!!!!!!!! In the last 2 days this is what has happened:

    Wall Up
    Carpet Down
2 Wardrobes, 2 Chest of Drawers put together
    Clothes back and final sort
Knee deep in toys still, that's after 6 black sacks of rubbish out of there!!

    Left to do:
Paint wall - 2 white coats and 2 colour coats as dry wall stuff will soak up paint apparantly.
Finish sorting toys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Children today get far too much stuff.

I have also been quite good at keeping up with flying. Sorry pigpen haven't been using you list but I have
    Kept Kitchen clean and tidy
    Kept Lounge clean and tidy
Hoovered upstairs about a zillion times!
    S&S Bathroom
    Swept floors downstairs.

I reckon 1½ days of work left and their rooms! should be straight. Mine is wrecked. Never mind I'm doing that next, was only having new furniture but have decided I really DO need a new carpet, well why not.

We got the builders quote today to make garage/kitchen into kitchen/diner. £3500. I didn't think this was too bad as this includes raising the garage floor height, bricking up garage door and footings and installing window (included in price), making a doorway into understairs cupboard and blocking up doorway to cupboard from lounge. Also, knocking down connecting wall, plastering walls and ceiling and all electrical works.

Sorry to go on a bit but I have waited so long for things to get done and now everything seems to be being done all at once - not complaining mind.

Just waiting for price of kitchen, if it's the same as building work DH said it will be ok. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hope everyone is well, will try to catch up later.
Need to sort my life out! :T

taffy, one thing I would say with the extension, if they are making the diner out of the garage and it's a single skin, get them to do something to stop mould. The utility/diner here is terrible for mould on the outside single walls. The room is cold aswell. Oh and when it comes to selling supposedly mortgage companies/surveryors don't like them at all, it flags up on HIPs because of the 'green' issues of heating it etc. Not trying to be mean, just wouldn't like to think I haddn't mentioned it, it was highlighted to us by the estate agent when we moved in here incase we chose to buy it instead of rent or buy it later.

Hmmm my sons weird, :rotfl:, ok I already know that part, he was awake when I went up to put some laundry away and was on about cryogenic freezing and how it works, then about the scientific theory that the world has flipped over in the past. Not what some might call weird but not really 'bed time talk' for most 9 year olds. No wonder he struggles to sleep if this is what is in his head at that time of night (10pm)

Hmm list not going great, much left to do, haven't been in the bath, decided on a shower in the morning. I'm struggling to stay motivated so late on, but I suppose whatever I don't do can wait until tomorrow. Boys will no doubt be up through the night, probably end up in bed with me with DP being away, so need to keep some sort of energy.
