I'm in again please and i love the kids list's brilliant idea.
Right i'm wracked and heading to bed soon eventho i had a sleep earlier.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

[/STRIKE] She's off the hook for this one as I did it on Thursday. The cupboards do need a proper clear out and clean though - big job for a 5 year old! Looks likes she'll be busy all week!!:rotfl:
Johanne - My midwife was delighted to see me staying in bed just after DD2 was born. Stay in pj's and stay in bed. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Accept ALL offers of help! You'll recover much quicker the more you rest. The best thing my MIL did was come round the first day DH went back to work and look after DD1, send me to bed and cook tea! Oh, and fit in some ironing too! What a star.

Mudbath - glad you're feeling a bit better

Well done to all the dieters too! :T Been there, done that this time last year - only had 1 1/2 stone to lose (baby weight - i'm a big fan of eat what you want, when you want - its the best excuse when you're pregnant. Maybe not the best idea though cos DD2 was 9lb:eek: , big for me who's usually 8st10 & 5'4''). Did it in 3 1/2 months and stayed at target ever since. Keep going!!

Off for an early night. See you all tomorrow.x

I have the flu and my ears, throat and head are so sore, i've been taking co-codamol but woke at 4.30 this morning just aching all over, what else can i take with co-codamol? as i'm really not that clued up on this kind of stuff.

you can take ibuprofen as well as cocodamol.. just stick to the dosage it says on the box.. overdose symtoms of paracetamol is a headache!!

    Strepsils extra for the throat.
Or drop it all and get sudafed.. it is miles better!
    Vicks sinex/Otrivine for the snots..

BUT you cannot take everything at once so be sensible!

It works better if you take cocodamol/ibuprofen alternately.. every 2-3 hours.. so one is working at its best when the other starts wearing off.. and is kinder to your tummy..

My disclaimer... Make sure to speak to the GP or the pharmacist though before taking it as there are some medical conditions when it isn't safe to do so!! I wouldn't want you to make yourself worse!

Vanilla - Co-Codamol is a strong pain killer and I don't think you should take anything else with it without speaking to a pharmacist. My hubby has them at the minute as he trapped his finger, it is quite yucky, and the doctor told him no other pain killers at the same time.
I have tried beachams or another well known brand, can't remember the name, cold and flu tablets and they worked really well.
    Sorry can't be anymore help.

Vanilla, I can tell you what not to take with it, that is paracetamol and codeine, because you don't want to OD on what it has in it, so nothing with either of those in it (which includes a lot of cold/flu remedies apart from decongestant only ones but check the box). What you take based on that info is of course at your own risk ;) Got to be careful on forums offering medical advice so would rather just tell you what I believe would be unsafe and leave the rest to you. Personally I buy the cheap decongestant tablets which contain the same active ingredients as the expensive brands. I always rotate the paracetamol containing medicines with the anti inflammatory ones, such as Ibrufen etc (again I buy the cheaper ones, all got the same things that help in them)

Just spent the last 20 minutes being nosey :rotfl: someone joined the club that DP runs and I knew I knew him, I do :rotfl: just took me a while sussing who he is....
One day I might be more organised...........
