By the way, what do you lot put on ebay?
DO you put clothes, toys as it seems alot of work for a small return.
Just curious as was going to go at it big time but now I'm thinking, just give it to charity shop.
Put my first stuff on freecylce tonight, hope it will go.
Need to sort my life out! :T
  • Just back in long enough to have a catch up and some toast - car half full again so I will take it away in the morning. Another row of shelves up :T for DH - managed to find even more floor out there! lol he had big ideas for the weekend (in terms of getting niggly bits sorted in the garage) until I reminded him we were going away on Friday night...

So my master plan for tomorrow is:

    Empty my car (again)
to get another load of shelves tomorrow since they are supposed to be in stock
    tubs for balls/skipping ropes etc.
    Do the bathroom.

So the garage will be done (hopefully before friday) so that leaves mega playroom/upstairs bathroom clearance for Monday/Tuesday next week  Which I am sure will be more relaxing than, going for a massage, an afternoon browsing some fabric shops, making something for fun - rather than having to make/fix something at short notice

solwaykid - are there any "crafty" type ideas that you might like to try. I find making something simple i.e. drawstring bags or cushions relaxing just because I need to think about step 1, step 2 etc that I don't have the "room" to think about anything else. I like to have a project I can do in an evening. Just don't ask me the last time I made something for fun...

I kinda get stressed easily though - the only time I really feel anywhere near relaxed for more than a day is on hols... I still have to the normal stuff but I am not surrounded by jobs that need to be done, which really annoy me until I get them sorted. Does that make sense? Sometimes when I feel really stressed I imagine I am floating on a lilo in the pool, warmth from the sunshine, slight breeze and silence apart from the water (kids are napping in bed - although they grew out of this!) and I feel "holiday" calm again! lol I just drifted off on my lilo.

nsn - lol our lot were the same when we moved house - they were allowed toys in every room at the last place - here it is bedroom/playroom or outside! For the 1st couple of months they were wanting to have the old place back :rotfl: Magic tree have a "new car" smelly thing I think - not sure if it is quite the same but might save you from freezing the next time you fancy a takeaway! I think kids are cool with change as long as it doesn't mean they have to be tidy!

tia - I hope the interview goes well.

ok need to get everything sorted for the morning, catch you tomorrow

I think little people throw your body clock out - says she who forgot to check earlier that everyone had pe kit (clean) for tomorrow  13mins left and I can hang it to dry... for some reason there is only 1 28" top which is the only size that fits dd1 but ds wore it on tuesday (so it is messy) what is worse is that he has 3 clean, ironed 26" tops in his wardrobe but dd1 can't get her head through them...

note to self - order 1 more 28" t-shirt

    night Jill!
  • Aw good to hear that Shelley. Is it her first? (now feeling ancient at 38 as well ;) )
no she has 16 year old DD, who was very shocked when she found out and is worried that people will think it's hers if she takes it for walk in it's pram :rotfl:
Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/140

Glad all is well with the scan. Have to say I found it hard remembering the basics (doing milk etc) when DD arrived after only a 2 year gap dread to think what I would have been like after 16.

Didn't get as much done as I would have liked yesterday as spent most of the day shopping with my mum then DH came home as it was his birthday.

Of to find the list and try and wake myself up a bit *mumofjusttwo yawns as she types*

haven't read all posts yet. But what did Fi decide to do ??? Pick Mum up or leave her to it ??? Feels like a Tommy Zoom dilemma if anyone's kids watch that LOL
    Anyway,
i would be a bigger person than the selfish SIL and pick your Mum up.
(My Mum lives In NIreland, I only get to see her once or twice a year, I'd love to be close enough top do stuff like this for her (though I suppose if she and everyone took advantage I would get hacked off pretty quick! and even if they didnt the novelty would wear off pretty quick too .... :) Hope that didnt sound snotty cos it wasnt meant to :)

I plumped for option 3 :o leave em to it

Usually i WOULD pick mum up but she slagged the mothers day present i gave her and i am still smarting a little from that (sent flowers & choccies via tesco online, she said thats wot i get for ordering online!)

I think my SIL has a crafty plan though, she has asked me to take my neice, her daughter, in my car as she recons there wont be room in their car. I am sure i heard my brother mutter in the back ground 'yeah and when Fi gets here we'll tell mum theres your lift'

Mum has been v argumentative the last few months and every time we see her and she has a go about something/everything. She watches all that Jeremy Kyle rubbish and we think it winds her up, but she just rings us up to tell us where we are going wrong with our kids, partners, money, jobs & HOUSEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nephews party at 11.30am, will slap a smile on my face and enjoy 'family' time being all together ;)
