haven't read all posts yet. But what did Fi decide to do ??? Pick Mum up or leave her to it ??? Feels like a Tommy Zoom dilemma if anyone's kids watch that LOL
    Anyway,
i would be a bigger person than the selfish SIL and pick your Mum up.
(My Mum lives In NIreland, I only get to see her once or twice a year, I'd love to be close enough top do stuff like this for her (though I suppose if she and everyone took advantage I would get hacked off pretty quick! and even if they didnt the novelty would wear off pretty quick too .... :) Hope that didnt sound snotty cos it wasnt meant to :)

solway - i know exactly what you mean. it's finding the thing that relaxes you. i'm like rach and love a massage or any treatment but some people would rather have pins stuck in their eyes. so it's finding what does it for you...any form of 'me' time might help. i'm a definite control freak which is why i've decided to go for the chance of moving away. then again, maybe i'm still controlling it all as i've said when, where, why etc. maybe i'll never learn!!!! it sounds daft but sometimes i just need to learn to breath. hugs to you xx

rach - hello!! sounds like your shopping was fun. hope you over ordered on important things like chocolate xx

    Hi

    Thanks for all the hugs.

Not much done here again today but i've been keeping up with my dailies so it's not so bad.

My list for tommorow looks something like this:rolleyes:

Mad Tuesday - Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    Level One

remove clutter from floors, chairs and fireplace
    Level Two
    Vacuum floors and sofas
Sort that under stair cupboard.. make sure evrything is in tidily rather than thrown from a great distance!
    Dust those flat fluffy surfaces
    Level Three
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
    Clean windows, pictures, mirrors etc.
    Clear a hotspot
    Vacuum hall and stairs
    Extras

    • Wipe front door.. inside and out!
    • Childrens list.
    1. Sort out all the shoes.. make sure there are 2 of them all and put them nicely on the shelf or in the box. Encourage the person who has the most to get rid of a few pairs they never wear!
    2. Oh.. I think you'll like this.. everyone gets a carrier bag.. and spends 5 mintues running all over the house putting rubbish in it.. not other peoples things just rubbish, scrappy papers, junk mail, used envelopes and things like that.. after 5 minutes we weigh all the bags and see who has the heaviest bag. The winner gets a treat (and so does everyone else!)

    Level 1
    Check fire alarms are working
[STRIKE]Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
    [/STRIKE]

    [/STRIKE]

Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
    Clean windows in these rooms
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    • 39 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Clear a box of clutter from the landing
    • Clear the top of a bedside cupboard/chest of drawers or shelf

    1. Clear and wipe the table
    2. [STRIKE]
    3. Collect up all the dirty laundry from upstairs and plop it in the laundry basket!.. NO clean things please!!
    4. Can you fill the washing machine (WM) with the sheets from mummys bed?

    Mudbath/Dusty/whoever else knows bird stuff

I keep seeing a bird on our front grass when I drive back but it always flies off before I see it properly. Would love to know what it is though. Its medium sized ie bigger than a robin or a blue tit, but smaller than a magpie, and from what I can see seems to be a yellowy green colour ??? Totally weird and there's only one. God you dont think someone's baby parrot has escaped do you .......

I'm not moaning for a change today!
Just wanted to say how much I love it on here. Thanks to everyone's motivation on here I have sorted so much stuff in my house since last summer.
Last summer, before I had the baby I had:-
    - a dumping ground of a dining room
    - a dumping ground of a spare room
    - a dumping ground of an upstairs study
    - months worth of filing everywhere
    - finances in a huge mess
    - a big mess in the garage
    - a gigantic hotspot in the bureau

Now the dining room is goreous and we can have friends for dinner without a big panic, we used to just stuff everything under the stairs for the night.
Now the spare room is DD1's room and LO has DD1's old room, both are lovely.
Now the upstairs study has become the spare room and the clutter from it and old spare room has been cleared out and tidied up.
Now the piles of filing is almost all sorted into a filing cabinet I got on freecycle.
Now the bureau is sorted out and is tidy.

The only things from that list I haven't done are some of the non-important filing, the finances got tidy but are in a mess again (this is my current big thing to get them sorted), and the garage is still a work in progress.
Oh yeah and lots of boys clothes came down from the loft to the spare room to sort.

Hard to believe I achieved all this whilst pregnant or with a tiny baby in tow.

Its wonderful. Nearly everything in my house has a home and I love it :D
