chunky hi and welcome. Don't be hard on yourself. Babysteps is the way to go. That list is a very long one. Why not break it down and say tomorrow you will do maybe 3 of them. If you suceed early great you can add more. If not keep to the same ones until you have done them or scrap those 3 and replace with some different ones? Good luckl

  • I have been so lazy the last weeks. I've done the bare minimum. I started so well, 3 weeks of flying. I loved my house when it was clean and sparkling-now it looks like a dump. It's going to take me awhile to claw my way back, especially as I've joined in this week half way through.

dustykitten thats what i am hoping to do, so many at a time. I have just filled the bucket for cleaning the cupboard fronts so thats gonna be one job off the list at least. Its not too bad a job and they don't need scrubbing just fingerprints removing. so really in reality only a 10 minute job.
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

Not done anything off the list today. I haven't even looked at today's list :D This morning DH decided we had to go out. He gets bored really easily. Today is the first official day of his annual leave and he was quite prepared to go into work! Off we toddled to town, did nothing there, then went round to a friend's house for coffee and ended up being there about 3 hours! Well she did have a nice fire going. Now I'm off to bed to read.

How do you entertain an easily bored 40-something child?

Corr - i have had a right stressful day today.

up at 6:30am with DS. 2 lots of workmen here - 1 putting the new tiscali box in for an hour and half this morning - DS being a PITA trying to get in his tool box and mess in the TV cabinet. Guy broke my computer desk as DH had locked it for some blooming strange reason as we never normally do  And i ended up dragging out the TV cabinet, and setting myself off with a series of about 5 braxton hicks so i was ready for panicking.

And worst of all, cos we couldn't access the PC, we had no internet all day.

2nd workman here 8:00 - 4:30. Building the wardrobes upstairs. Banging about all day, so DS couldn't go and have a nap in his cot, and i ended up towing on with him some more while he was being severely grumpy. Also, DS did a leaky nappy, i ended up covered in poop, and couldn't access my clean clothes in the wardrobes where the guy was working. Stressed me out because he was putting shelves in the wrong place and DH has told me i need to check his work tomorrow as one of the drawers is wrong. I'd like to know how as i have to drop DS off at nursery, then go to MW. Plus, seems though he had a bad habit of leaving all the doors open while he was working upstairs i will feel stressed in case someone burgles the house.

Oh well - i am calmer now. Cheered up when i could watch the Ashes to Ashes i missed last week.

Anyway, i've had no opportunity to catch up here today, so on my list for tomorrow is spend a good chunk of time relaxing by catching up with you guys. The wardrobe fitter is hopefully only going to be here for a few hours tomorrow, and then i will hopefully feel less stressed. Actually, just taking DS out the equation will make life seem better, awful as that might sound. You can't deal with workmen when they are creating can you.

    Hope you are all well

Welcome Chunky - one step - or one item at a time and you'll find it eventually becomes easier

Mudbath and Dusty - re the birds (wildlife that is!) don't know if you knew, but the RSPB have a 'homes for wildlife' section where you can register (for free) and then partake in wildlife surveys as well as be given info on how you can make your garden more wildlife friendly. They've a new bird survey coming up starting in April where you count the number of certain birds in your garden at certain times and then send the data off to them via t'internet. With the indulgence of the list moderators, the url to get going is here:

Well, I'm now seriously, definitely pooped. I have done my Superwoman-flylady act for the evening and Enough is Enough! I've made my contribution to the Jamie we can do better thread and just need to price it properly tomorrow before posting recipe and photos (yes,I was sad enough to do that!). It was actually delish - my DiL couldn't get enough of it.

But, the cost calculation is tomorrow's job - I'll do it sneakily at work so,

 ORF ops - stand by your monitors from about 7.30 am onwards. And Secret Squirrel no 1 Mudbath - next time you see someone using my drive to do a turn - could you either capture the shot using the little camera facility thingy and let me know you have it, or else take number, make, model and colour - ooh and time?
    Thanks:cool:

michelle I can;t believe you pulled out the telly cabinet naughty girl *slapped wrist icon* and I hope those workmen didnt stand there and watch you do it
How many weeks til due fate ???? ooooo I am so excited!!!!!
Things being calmer with DS elsewhere doesn't sound awful at all, I hope you manage to have a relatively stress free day (well after the fitter guy has gone anyway)
