Oh and just to give you all a smile, had to Vax carpets today as they were minging and yesterday I knocked over a full cup of tea that had nicely stained. So carpets done while DH took DS to shop (DS is terrified of machine) and looking and smelling nice when little dog throws up rather spectacularly in lounge and the hall within 5 mins of putting Vax away. Had to start scrubbing. Nice.

    list for the day

Mad Tuesday - Living room, Hallway, Stairs
    Level One

remove clutter from floors, chairs and fireplace
    Level Two
    Vacuum floors and sofas
[STRIKE]Sort that under stair cupboard.. make sure evrything is in tidily rather than thrown from a great distance![/STRIKE]
    Dust those flat fluffy surfaces
    Level Three
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
    Clean windows, pictures, mirrors etc.
    Clear a hotspot
    Vacuum hall and stairs
    Extras
    • [STRIKE]
    • Wipe woodwork in the hall and stairs
    • Wipe front door.. inside and out!
    • [/STRIKE]
    • I think the children who have been most helpful today should decide what you are having for dinner.. and that doesn't mean a takeaway.. we will consider that for the weekend if you are doing a fabulous job!!! Maybe if they are big enough they can help or better still cook for you!!
    Childrens list.
    1. Sort out all the shoes.. make sure there are 2 of them all and put them nicely on the shelf or in the box. Encourage the person who has the most to get rid of a few pairs they never wear!
    2. Oh.. I think you'll like this.. everyone gets a carrier bag.. and spends 5 mintues running all over the house putting rubbish in it.. not other peoples things just rubbish, scrappy papers, junk mail, used envelopes and things like that.. after 5 minutes we weigh all the bags and see who has the heaviest bag. The winner gets a treat (and so does everyone else!)
    3. Pick up all your own things from the front room and put them away in their homes
    4. [STRIKE]If you are a bigger little person could you vacuum the floors once they are clear of stuff?[/STRIKE]
some of this stuff done today. need to keep up this week and do a bit of work in ds's room as inlaws are sleeping in there. ds has already cleared 30 things in there bless him xx

Yippee! I thought I'd missed ORF while I was away - I'm off to get cammed up! I'll be so invisible, you won't even know I'm there (that'll be because I'm in Tonyrefail!!!:rotfl:) but I'll check in asap to debrief.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area

    Level One
[STRIKE]Clean floors in these areas [/STRIKE] DH did this while I was in North Som.

    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, nice shiny new fridge, nice shiny new freezer etc) and inside the microwave
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round[/STRIKE]
Clean washer drawer, filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
    [STRIKE]Clean the oven
    [/STRIKE]
Extra tasks if you want to do more
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps, a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Empty one shelf (or the top of a cupboard) clean it, clean what's on it and put it all back
    • Clean out and organize one cupboard, more if you like
    • Wipe & replace small appliances like kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
    Daily Tasks:

    [STRIKE] Empty dishwasher
    Load washing machine
    Set breadmaker
    Feed dogs, cats and fish
    Walk dogs
    [/STRIKE]
If it's not snowing, I will even do [STRIKE]5GC[/STRIKE]. No sign of snow, unfortunately.

I've also done some ironing, sewn the hem up on a pair of trousers and driven to see DD and back (she's house sitting for a friend)

Prepared lesson plan for tomorrow and printed off all resources and written out six reviews!

My list for tomorrow, but it depends very much on DH and the decorating!

Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
    Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
Clear anything from the stairs! Safe stairs are a must
    Level Two
Move clutter so you can vacuum under it
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
    Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, ahem that includes that cup!
Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs, yours might be skirting board, edging of some sort, grab a cloth and give it a wipe
Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these
    • Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc (yes I know it's repeated but lots of members were not about when it was done)
    • Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
    • Wipe down window frames in these rooms (inside) clean any marks from window
    • Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
    • 20 minutes ironing time to get that pile down, oh and make sure you put it away!
    Dailies:

    Empty DW
    Empty/load DW
    Set BM
    Feed dogs, cats, fish
    Walk dogs

DS is not yet back from Cardiff but he's just called to check in and will be home soon. We're not really overprotective parents, but he's been ill for 7 years, so it's really novel that he's feeling able to do this. His wheelchair went too, but I think it's spent the afternoon/evening in the car, so he'll probably suffer for it tomorrow. Oh and my sister decided to stay tonight as well, but she's just gone to bed.

I don;t know about anyone else, but I'm thinking of hot chocolate :coffee:, a bubble bath and off to bed!

Hugs to all, especially those not feeling well. Night night and sleep well.

Mudbath - My cousin, who has brain damage, goes to see his reflexologist every Tuesday and thinks she is wonderful. It's the only time he sits still for half an hour! Think I might save up and go and see her ;)

pigpen it's your fault i painted the bannisters coz i was thinking he wasn't doing it all quick enough. i mean...why can't OH paint the whole house in three hours. so i did the bannisters with my right hand even though i'm left handed coz i new you'd shout at me. so now i'm wheezing coz of the gloss paint fumes and my right hand hurts coz i've used it too much but i am laughing at myself at the state i'm in. i may be a wreck but i'm not down!

skintscottslass - just make sure you go and see someone who is down to earth and doesn't promise the earth and make sure they do their continued professional development. word of mouth is the best advertisement so if it helps your cousin that's brilliant. i have monthly treatments because i find it so relaxing though some people prefer massage or other treatments. xx
