Hi
Thanks for all the hugs.
OH is back at the hospital now, his Dad is hanging on in there he's a tough cookie. I feel a bit helpless i want to be there with him, but with 5 children between us i can't just leave them all day.
Hugs to Johanne
Well done Shell:j
It's amazing how much longer things take when you don't keep on top of them. I've been doing the bare minimum around the house these last few weeks and cleaning the kitchen today took so much longer than it usually would.:o The cupboards only usually need a quick wipeover, today i had to scrub:eek: same with the fridge and hob.

Crikey this page is stretching a bit
Ok found the suede cleaning threads on this site. I'm gonna buy a steam cleaner from Argos in a minute and hopefully my sofa will come up good0 -
Dusty - are you me in a parallel universe? That's exactly what I had for brunch today. We cooked the same dinner yesterday.....
I snoop on you through buster
I pinot is my favourite tipple too.
It has stopped snowy for a minute so I'm off to town. DH at the skateboard park with the kidsThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
The page stretch is my fault, bother, sorry
it's the long link which did that one. For some reason the clicky thingamy wouldn't work so had to post the entire link :rotfl: The quicker we get onto the next page the better.
Lasagne for dinner prepared and layered, just waiting to be cooked, improvising with flattened part cooked canneloni pasta I found as I only had 4 lasagne sheets left and no pasta flour, bottoms, anyway it's done now, smells divine. DP decided he isn't going to work as only 3 trains running that stop in Durham so not much point. So now he's watching the football. He's however had a good 3 days at work and paid a chunk of his credit cards (the ones I refuse to pay towards because they were clocked up just for his toys!!)
Did the lasagne so I can do the kitchen after I have made a mess, being the messiest cook every I thought it'd be a good idea. Bundle of oven trays and racks in the dishwasher while I was cooking and did some cupboard rearranging.
Right, kitchen now while the boys play upstairs with the trainset (which is spread across DS1s room but they are happy so I don't care) and DP watches last nights MOTD....watching the snow melt across the garden distracted me last time I went in, it's snow then sun here so we've had loads then keeps melting....kids a little miffed as DS2 dragged his sledge out when it started then it all 'dipsapeepered' as he put it :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

I don't think i can be in all week, but I am in for today! we were going to go out walking today but stayed in in the end cos of the snow. so i've managed to do a 4 weekly menu plan which is cool, now to cost up the internet shop it will take to fulfill it.
just found out our new sofas are coming on friday which is fab as we're sick of sitting on the tiny old one! (my proper sofa wouldn't fit along the corridor of the new flat when i moved in!).
DH is updating our budget (very nice to be married to an accountant!) and so I think i'll get some lunch and then do the internet shop. anyone have any tips? think i'll use mr T but have never done online grocery shop before!

Hi rach, quick one before I do the kitchen (I know I should have moved by now but got distracted) https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk is a good comparison site I haven't done an online shop for ages as we're trying to run stocks down. Search well for codes and vouchers to save/free delivery/extra points etc. Sometimes it's worth splitting a big order into 2/3 seperate ones to maximise savings. I like ASDA because if the substitue an item I order which is usually a value item, I get a better one without paying extra
Tesco charge you the extra. You can of course turn down substitutions. I think Quidco still offer £5 cashback for your first order with Tesco.
One day I might be more organised...........

I have a room in my house which we haven't ever used.. it has been an indoor garage for the last 3 YEARS!!!!
I have boxes unpacked from when we moved here (july 05)
I have only ever cleaned my oven once in 5 years.
My windows are so dirty they look like I have nets up!
Only the outsides are dirty.. my stepdad is my window cleaner and has so far been once this year.. the week before hubby put the new glass in!.. in insides are clean.. or I wouldn't be able to see out!!
I have only ever cleaned my oven once.. but that isn't a secret.. I only do the hob 3 or 4 times a year.. and one of those times is christmas!
I have boxes in the loft that have been packed since we moved into our first house in 1993!!!
And as for the 'indoor garage'.. youve all seen the pics!!!
No porkies there.. why do you think I have 'clean oven' in the 'extras' list.. ?? .. it is so I don't HAVE to do it!!!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Have you done your bag yet? I'm going to nag you about that but you haven't got to do anything else. DD arrived 2.5 weeks early - everyone told me 1st babies are always late - I hadn't packed my bag or anything - went to hospital after my waters broke but they told me I could go home for a bit. I hadn't bought any Bf bras at this point so we went to Mothercare on the way back - they asked me when I was due - I said 2.5 weeks but my waters had broken that morning - they couldn't get me out of the shop quick enough!:rotfl:
