Hello Girls
Do any of you recommend anything that is safe to use to clean a Faux Suede sofa?
Now of to tidy the rest of the house, one of my foster dogs is being rehomed today so i have to clean clean clean wahoo0 -
Morning Everyone - just.
It's been a long one here. Up with DS at 7am. DH tried to let me lie in but the boy makes far too much racket. I should have been as fresh as a daisy as we were in bed for 10:30, but i had more midnight wanderings than i care to remember.
Then DH has slapped another coat of paint round upstairs and run a hoover around. I have swept the laminate floor in the living room/dining room as best as i can with DS underfoot. I reassembled several jigsaws which are now going to be put away for a few weeks till the decorating is done, found several missing things under the settee - amazing i hadn't even noticed them missing, and i have remembered to get out some salmon from the freezer for tonight's dinner, and a spag bol portion for DS so i can stop feeling guilty about him not eating right.
plan for the rest of the day:- choose curtain pole and some new curtains
- move our bed and all our other stuff back into our old room so wardrobe guy can fit the wardrobes tomorrow and wednesday
- file the pile of paperwork in front of the telly
- have more of a living room sort out, as tiscali engineer is coming tomorrow to do the TV package thing so will need access
- sort pantry - as above
- put up curtain pole and curtains in newly decorated room - or newspaper, so we can sleep in there tonight and tomorrow, and probably the next couple of weeks  as it will take that long probably for bed to be put back in there.
- will try and do the kitchen sort out tonight too, and find where my tea towels are as there are 3 dirty, one in use, and the rest are missing
hopefully still in the TD
johanne sorry to hear about the ILs. You need to try and stay relaxed as possible. I agree with lil-me that antenatal classes are not essential, as long as you talk to your midwife about pain relief and birth plan. The house will come together, your dad is obviously having a big push to help out - personally i would prefer a kitchen to the nursery being done. Make your number one priority this week sorting out your hospital bag.
hello to newbies - see, we may be slobs, but the difference is we try and inspire each other to get through it. No-one wants to be anthea, just organised would be more preferable.
Think i need a list for the week sorting, as it is going to be hard work remembering all the bits i need to, as we are away next weekend for FILs 60th party, so i will need to fit in packing/dropping cats off at cattery/ workmen/midwife appointment. Too much for my little brain anyway when my sinuses are still kicking off
pink fairy welcome back
hope hope things aren't too bad for you with FIL
Off to see now what i can manage while DS is asleep, as when he wakes up we will be having lunch and then taking that trip to Dunelm. Would prefer to have lunch out, but as we are skint - sarnies will do.

Afternoon
Well done shell :T
summermoon you don't live far from me, I'm in South Shields.
Just finished reading the 'confessions' thread and it's making me NOT want to do stuff :rotfl: infact I'm rather tired now so I think a lil snooze is in order instead of doing the whole house from top to bottom (it's been a week y'know) I've done dailies and tidied but I'm becoming a bit anal about cleaning it all every week whether it needs it or not, and it's worrying me
I've got half a shops worth of easter eggs in my front room and I glare at the kids if they dare even think about opening one (they still did) and ruining my neatly arranged display :rotfl: OCD city is me.
Been to Asda for easter bargains but they didn't have many left, littleys Duck that she wanted was still full price so I'm going tomorrow to get it half price (I refused to buy it full price) Going to the pictures later on to see Spiderwick Chronicles and stuff ourselves with pop and popcorn yay!
I'm off for a snooze, laters x
Nicki you're DD is gorgeous x0 -
Just having a cup of coffee and a catch up - I'm doing well so far. My oven is looking great - I've not cleaned it for months. And I've never defrosted my freezer - we've had it about 9 months now. It's not too bad! My old freezer needed a weekly defrost (and did the fridge) so I'm very lucky.

I'm back - my ironing basket is now empty! However, the TD and WM are both on so won't be for long. It's taken me about 8 hours to do so I'm determined not to let it get that bad again:o.
I've just got to put all the clothes away now - I'll probably find I can't fit them all in the drawers especially DDs.
Off to Rumble Tumble this afternoon and I could do with going to Dunelm as well Michelle as I want some trouser hangers to try and make more room in my wardrobe!
Shell - Congratulations on passing your theory test - pleased to hear everyone's recovered in your household now.
Tia - I shall eagerly await your new fit and healthy plan.
Johanne - at least your kitchen will be done now before the baby comes. Have you done your bag yet? I'm going to nag you about that but you haven't got to do anything else. DD arrived 2.5 weeks early - everyone told me 1st babies are always late - I hadn't packed my bag or anything - went to hospital after my waters broke but they told me I could go home for a bit. I hadn't bought any Bf bras at this point so we went to Mothercare on the way back - they asked me when I was due - I said 2.5 weeks but my waters had broken that morning - they couldn't get me out of the shop quick enough!:rotfl:
Right, I suppose I'd better think about putting some of these clothes away!

Kitchen done (to about level 2 and a bit, not done the oven and I'm not going to).
Dusted and polished the living room and vaccumed right through downstairs.
One load of washing done, it was pegged out but then it rained so it's draped round indoors now.0 -
Good afternoon.
My sister and I bought some Glamorgan sausages in Cardiff Bay on Saturday, so we've just had them for lunch. Very nice.
She's gone round to my brother's for a while (she's off home later but I don't know when!) OH has done nothing but read the papers so I've told him he can wash the kitchen floor when I go out. I'm off to see DD in North Somerset as she is staying at friend's house till Friday (she works in Bristol anyway) so I'm taking clean clothes and going for coffee, but had hoped sister would have gone by now, so I can get over there and back before dark. DS is going to the cinema with friends and his girlfriend  . Amazingly, her parents have said she can go. BTW - if there are any social workers out there would you pm me please. DS's friend (who we have known for about 16 years) is driving them. He's only 18 but I know I can trust him. 1) He was in my Sunday School class 2) He's scared of me!
Shell - congratulations! You must be very proud of yourself.
