Morning all and hugs to all those feeling sick or fretting or stressed. Not been up long. Don't know what I shall do with the day. Finish the community newsletter I guess and put some washing on.
I personally hate the fact the clocks will be going forward next weekend because I much prefer the lighter mornings to the lighter evenings (I'm generally a lark rather than an owl). Means I'll be getting up in the dark again for a while.
Have a good one ladies.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi all- I am new to all this fly lady thingy but I do really need the help!! I found this thread last thursday but I thought i couldn't possibly start half way through the week!!! So here I am raring to go at my 1st flying day.

Hi all, I'm new too. I'm going to join in this week, but can't start till tomorrow as I'm still at my parents. Previous attempts at just reading the flyladies thread has made me feel faint, so will start off slowly and gently. I've only plucked up the courage now 'cos Ive gone through Gingham Ribbons slovenly thread - lucasmum it's a must read! Also I'm sure there's some posts where all the abbreviations are explained.
Big (((((hug))))) to Johanne, all the best to your ILs.
Enjoy the rest of your morning everyone.0 -
Hello to Lucasmum:D Your 5 yr old boy is DS1, and your 1 yr old is DS2, hope that helps.
If anyone mentions a HHC, its a half hour challenge.
DW is dishwasher, WM is washing machine, TD is tumble dryer
HHI is half hour ironing
BM is breadmaker

Thanks gunsandbanjos- unfortunately I won't be needing the DW one coz I don't have one!! But the rest will make typing easier. I have been lurking on here for a while and you guys have made a big impression on me already. I have used my BM(!!!) for the first time in about 4 years and have started baking again. I can vouch for the weetibix cake and moist lemon cake and the legendary Apple Braid. Now I just need to get to grips with tidying up after all that cooking.
I have to admit giggling through Gingham Ribbons thread yesterday, it made me feel much better about my house.
Oh, is there a difference between DH and OH?0 -

Kaz - I did 2.5 hours ironing last night and I've done another 3 hours this morning and I still haven't finished! Just having a quick break then I'm going to do some more - determined to finish!
Lucas's mum - OH - other half, DH - dear hubby, DP - dear partner - that's sort of how it works.
Aimee - hope everything goes well with the moving in!
I've stripped DS's bed as well and put the bedding and a few other bits in the WM but I've noticed a tissue going round as well so I'll see how it comes out!
Right, I'm off to do some more ironing:eek:
