  • JDS. BT are doing option 2 ,free for the first 3 months you could move back to them for a while and take a rain check later. Also www.tele2.co.uk have a free evening and weekend call offer on until end of year at least.

just had a look at bt.com and can't find any mention of "option 2" free for 3 months - have you got a link or is it via telephone only?

Is the Just Dial Saver Lite (free weekends and evenings only for 1 year or for life??)

How long is the contract for?

Its ongoing but doesn't say for life like tele2 does on its free weekend tariff.
Best of luck if you are moving to Justdial as my daughter has had no word from Justdial after 3 weeks from when she set in motion her move to Justdial.
My advice would be to stay clear at least until Justdial get their act together regards contact with customers as its none existent at the moment.
    Hope this helps you

JustDial are about to be sold off so I agree to hold off for a while because their new owners could easily change the tariff details and I believe this will happen if TalkTalk buy them out because TalkTalk still have their 70min call length before call becomes chargable (one of very few big-named companies now) and I'd be surprised if they didn't reduce the 2hours to 70min to match their own tariffs. Same thing with regards to OneTel because they do unlimited geographical calls and not 70mins so I may find that our unlimited geographical calls (ie without a call length restriction) gets changed to 70mins, either that or TalkTalk do away with their 70min call length restricton.

I do hope TalkTalk don't buy OneTel/JustDial, etc from Centrica otherwise there wont be as much competition amonst the big-named CPS carriers. I think that would really only leave Tele2 in competition of an even bigger CPW.
  • I have just joined up with the primus saver option 2, all calls are free eveings and weekends (90 mins)

But reading the small print it says all calls are charged at 0.04p (minium rate)

does this make 1899 cheaper and this provider ranked wrongly?

    ?

I'd email them for confirmation but what you will most likely find is that only chargable calls are subject to a minimum call charge of 4p. Therefore their evening&weekend geographical calls (those beginning 01 or 02) are most likely completely free without any minimum call charge.

Only daytime calls and non-geographical numbers beginning 084x/087x and 09x are likely to be subject to a minimum call charge.

During the daytime, it is recommended to use either Call1899/18866.
  • Thanks for the reply Kev,

    I hope this is correct.

  • Just checked with Uswitch website which quotes this "4p minimum charge on calls outside the free element".

Looks quite competitive to me - anyone know what the CS is like?

Also just checked Primus website and there is no mention of the Saver 2 tarrif:confused:
