You may be hard up but hey, at least you have a personality unlike the tos$er who upset you. I agree with ITBS... can you imagine what his face would have been like if you'd said thank you, taken the money and made him wait anyway!Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Strange really that this guy feels the need to shop in ASDA - it's obviously not good enough for him.
I can only assume that Fortnum and Mason don't yet have a branch near you.
My response would, most likely, have been somewhat less than diplomatic.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

It's amasing the images that go through your mind when reading posts here.
You've nothing to feel ashamed of. If he doesn't like queuing, that's his problem - not yours. Yes, sometimes i do feel a bit cheap, but i'm a Scotsman so it's traditional. Don't let idiots get to you like this. He's probably angry because he has major money problems and would rather take it out on others than deal with it himself.
Oh yes, the image that flashed through my mind was the man sucking on a small piece of easter egg - because of his wired jaw. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Please don't be upset by a man who obviously is too far up his own !!! to have any compassion or patience. Tell us where he lives and we'll go get him for you! Don't give him or his ignorance another thought, he isn't worth your energy
I argued with a supercraft in hobbycraft last week over 70p now that is cheap! Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0 -
He's probably not getting any - Easter eggs or the other!
What a stupid idiot he was, try not to feel too upset, I'm sure some people are only happy when they are upsetting others - you were probably stopping him from going home to his ready meal for one.
Chin up and put it down to experience - enjoy the chocolate!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

I doubt it will ever happen again but if someone is an ****, stand your ground. That person would have heard ome new swear words just for him if was me.
If you want to feel better about yourself, try shopping a netto.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -
Hi
What a horrible man!!! I know how you feel, though. A few years ago when my kids were small, I used to pay for bits n pieces with milk tokens, they used not to mind as long as you did buy milk as well. One day, however, the cashier refused, then called out to her supervisor " Can I take these tokens, she hasnt got enough money!" Crawled out so embarrassed.
Dont forget, it's him with the problem, not you.

I really feel for you, I've had occasions when people have made me feel really small & worthless, the worst was when I was walking along with my son in his pushchair & someone spat on me from a window, I couldn't stop crying all evening, that someone could make me feel so awful. They made me feel lowest of the low, when really THEY WERE!!
I think really I already felt bad, as at the time I wasn't working as looking after my children & also being in debt doesn't help, this just multiplied it by a million times!!
BUT NO-ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS BY ANYONE:mad:
You are worth more than this, don't ever think otherwise;)Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
