Smoky my thoughts are with you today, look after yourself and the children,do what make you feel right at the time my dear god Bless xx
<<Hugs to all of those in need one one today>>
to the rest of you who are trying to get in the holiday mood I think a trip to the coast will be off for most of us weather is appalling at the moment
I can't hoover today -DD 'borrowed it' yesterday
No point doing the washing -snowing like the devil here in North Kent
Going to youngest DD's this afternoon for lunch-we have a turkey left over from Christmas that was in the freezer since then.
Just going to make myself a hot chocolate with cream and a couple of hot X buns for 11's
Then sit by the fire and watch some catch-up t.v. Lazy Sunday mornings are fabulous.
all the shops are shut so no shopping either .I may peel some carrots and make some carrot and lentil soup for tommorrow I love soups and they are so much nicer home-made
Chicken was lovely yesterday and I curried the rest for the freezer.
Hope everyone has a peaceful day:A0 -
Smokey
At the moment as long as they are fed and they have you then no one would expect you to worry about the exact diet they have.
As long as they are eating "something" then things should work themselves out.
As DH has not taken me shopping for a while I have just realised we have hardly any veg in the house!
Could ask him to give me a lift to the one shop that will be open as there is snow on the ground and I do not fancy walking or else cobble something together from the freezer etc!
Just want to cuddle up with DDs in front of the fire and maybe do some knitting as I want to finish my first square.
Hugs to all and see you later"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Morning everyone
Happy Easter :easter: :EasterBun :icotbaske :easter_os :easter_ba
(((((HUGS))))) For Smoky
Csarina - good luck with the next stand
Tru- i loved the linky
Stefejb - hope you get lots of hula hoops
Aussie - loved the pics
Well the snow has settled here and it`s very cold, no roast dinner for me i`m afraid as i`m off to w**k soon so it`s tuna steak and salad for me.
DH blew the toaster up this morning so my morning toast was out too, never mind, i`ll be looking for a bargain one soon as he has an uncanny habit of breaking them lol. The last one went about a year ago and the one before only lasted for 3 months so now i just buy the cheapie ones and replace them when he`s done something silly to it. This one has lasted over a year and only cost £3.97 so i`ll replace it when i find another one on offer.
Dh has just left to go fishing and will be camping out  he must be crazy this weather so that just leaves myself and the hounds and the little black cat. Both hounds are fast asleep after a big walk and they`ll get another one when i get home which will be very late, hope it dosen`t snow again tonight.
Right i`m offski for a quick browse and then off to the bad place for the rest of the day.
Have a good Easter Sunday everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Hello Everyone!!! HAPPY EASTER :easter_ba :easter: :icotbaske :easter_os
Apologies haven't been on much lately, so whats been a'happenin!?
It was my DD's birthday friday she was 4yrs - She got a couple of "Pound Puppies" and then went and bought "Little Puppy Lost" with her birthday money!!! - You can never have enough soft toy dogs I suppose!
:rotfl:
I could have bought Battersea Dogs Home with amount of cuddly dogs she has!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Had a naff week last week arguing with the Abbey about a bankers draft/bank transfer (which was a deposit for our holiday cottage) - I cant believe the terrible service I received from the Lakeside thurrock branch:mad: Needless to say I now have to put a Formal Complaint in to them!
We had snow this morning but it hasnt settled, so the sledge isn't out yet!
smokybabe - ((Hugs))
Aussielass - loved the photos!! spoke to my mum on Good Friday and told her we were expecting snow this weekend...."SNOW!!!" she said!!:rotfl:
haribo - ummm lovely....unusual easter gift!:D
bargainrzl - hopefully you will have got to church on time without snow on the road!;)
pooky - Whoever suggested putting it in the bank and get interest sounds a good idea - mini-cash isa perhaps? I begrudge paying the council early...especially as the cost goes up and the service goes down?!
Tru - love the chicken!:D I think that's one of PenPen's brood isnt it?;)
vickyA - Belated Birthday Wishes to you (sorry) xx
Mrsmix/catowen/catznine/brzl/nelski/churchie & the other hussies:hello:
have a great day and enjoy your....:EasterBun0 -
Hello all !
Woke up to deep snow and a dead bird plus feathers all over the kitchen floor - which cat to thank I know not but I suspect it's the youngest with a sort of 'guilty' look on her face:mad:
Productive morning of sorts...............hoovered (not dusted yet but now the suns shining and showing it all up maybe I should), put final coat of paint n my cupboard in sort of slap dash fashion -trying to give it a sort of 'old look' -not difficult as its a very old and battered cupboard. Next stage glue and skeleton leaves to put on the door in random fashion.............not looking forward to than...........done it before and its a messy job.
Made get well card for my friend.........just need to pop a letter in with it ..........OH prepared everything for dinner and has gone to the pub for a pint or several. When he comes back he's got to check the video machine........tried to watch something last night that we'd taped and therr was no sound !! I think its the tape -its well used........least I hope so. What with it taking all week to sort out the DVD and then realising we needed a new one I don't want to go through all that messing about again.
smoky - ((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))) hugs to you. Don't worry about whatthe kids are eating, or the housework for that matter, This is a time when you have to take care of yourself. I know..............been there........wore the t-shirt - so I know just how you feel believeme. God bless and do take care.
Hope no-ones suffering too much from the weather.........think out snowfall is on the thaw now thank goodness.
Hugs to all those who need them ((((((((((((:o ))))))))))))Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

I was having a panic then as my reply button wasn't workin, and now my smileys aren't, grrrrr.(they've just reappeared now):D
Well I wont tell you all what time I woke up as it was indecently late:o .
I'm going to my Mum's in a bit to see them and my little Niece and Nephew who are only 2 and 1, and are utterly adorabubble.I've got them a little easter bucket with eggs n toys in each, so chaos will reign, all over my Mums new cream carpet and suite:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
MARTYN remember to keep all your tools safe, and oiled, for the next time you need them again;)
SMOKEY massive (((hugs))) to you and the kids, and stop being so hard on yourself hun xxx
Right must get dressed, so speak later and have a great day everyone :T :T"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hi everyone. Happy Easter to one and all.
Tru I loved the chicken!!! Thank you for that.:rotfl:
Haribo-if your MIL expects you to eat the detector I'd be concerned as to what you've done wrong or to offend her!!!:rotfl:
(((hugs))) smoky and children
((hugs)) to anyone else who needs or wants one. I've been on the confessions thread last night and this morning-it's hilarious!!! isn't it Haribo??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:particularly when you were posting last night-don't you agree Nelski??? :rotfl::rotfl:well funny!!!
Right I've phoned my girlies-they're at daddys' for Easter and have informed me that they have made a snowman. Eldest one wanted to come home last night, it's a different story now they have snow!!! I'm enjoying my break from them if I'm honest.
OH has just painted my new pantry. He suggested ages ago to get some sticky backed tile things for the floor and I was dead against it...until I saw something in one of the threads, so now I've changed my miind and we have 2 packs of them ready to be laid once the paint is dry. (only £8 for both packs!!!) and the paint was only £7.49 for 10 litres from wickes-think it was a half price special or something similar. I'll be thinking of all sorts of projects for my OH to paint now!!!
Right better, get organised we're going to work this afternoon!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Happy easter to everyone or as my son 17 has renamed it 'chocolate day'
((Hugs)) To everyone who needs one or just wants hug.
Special hugs to Smokey and the babes Thinking of you, as i have been over these past few weeks. Well Done Smokey on allowing the kiddies to have a normal easter diet, 'chocolate'. To be honest hun, under the circumstances i think you are doing fantastic to manage to get anything for them to eat or tidy the house. You have had such a traumatic few weeks.
Also hugs to Martyn Been following your story here on OS but i dont think our paths have crossed. Well Done on managing to look after yourself. You have found a great friendly board to become part of. Everyone is so caring and always have a spare hug and kind word when they are needed. I also recommend a hot water bottle or a heat in the microwave wheatie bag for your cold ..... feet
Tru my 8 year old nearly need oxygen after watching that ... Stopped him eating chocolate tho for a few minutes. So thankyou for that lol
I have a leg of lamb cooking in the SC today. Unfortunately it was too big so i had to get it with a very big knife
. I bought a dual pot SC so i could add veg to one part of the meal and not the other.(2 of my DS dont do vegetables) But it meant i now have a whole leg of lamb cut in halfish in the big side and a sausage and bean casserole in the smaller side
Not out anywhere today . Its too cold and my leg is playing up because of it. So i think a film day is in order. The boys are off to the coast tomorrow or tuesday weather permitting so i have my fingers crossed for a better forcast.
Hugs to all and Happy Easter xxfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Turn the sound on and CLICK ME
Thanks for that lol!!!:rotfl:
I am feeling really awful and guilty about ranting on yesterday..was not having a good day:o . my brother & sil phoned this morning and came down with the boys and we had a good old natter .Feeling much better for that and I made a lovely soup for dinner thanks to os recipes. Woke up to a blanket of snow but its all gone again so my garden resembles a bog - so wont be doing anything there today. The weight of the snow falling off the roof has split my mini greenhouse roof again so the idea of saving money growing own veg isnt really saving money if I replace it again...!
I think I am going to decorate my delapidated kitchen this week and possibly paint my old table & chairs cream and recover the seats...feel like going all shabby chic (i already have the shabby bit down to a T:D ) so I am off now to look for insperation on e bay...:D Big hugs to all that need them and have a peaceful easter xxJAN GC- £155.77 out of £200
