    This thread is brill!

    OK - confessions then.....

Until it was mentioned on Flyday this week about wiping down the unit kickboards in the kitchen it had never occurred to me to clean them......OR the inside of cupboard doors. (Those look strangely whiter now?! )

The back of my car usually requires ten minutes of chucking stuff into carrier bags before I can carry a back seat passenger.

I only handle the iron and ironing board in order to put them away once MrEH has finished ironing his weeks shirts.

It has just taken us three years, yes, THREE YEARS, to decorate our spare room. Even now we will almost certainly put off forever the final job of painting the coving with a second coat. (However this still looks better than the 4'6" length of skirting board that we never got around to painting at our last flat. It was still an odd colour when we moved out. The reason was that it was behind the bed and the room was too small to move the bed out for long enough to allow gloss paint to dry. :o )

I have a beetroot collection in the bottom of the fridge.

I HATE cleaning and dusting but imagine my chagrin when our burglar alarm was triggered while I was out at work and I got called home by a neighbour. Not finding anything wrong, I called in the engineer who asked me when I last dusted in our living room. He pointed out a massive cobweb covering the alarm's passive ray detector, and a big spider tucked away behind it, which had almost certainly caused the problem by crawling across the detector! Now I dust that even if I don't dust anywhere else.

I have had bird poo on my dining room window since the first week of Jan! Every morning as I open the curtains I think after work I will get rid of that. Every night I get home shut the curtains as it it dark and forget all about it, I have a huge to do list and it gets transfered every week onto the current weekly task list and still is there, I'm thinking of calling it Ben!!!!!!

Similar situation but as I'm single and 'can't do' some 'mans' jobs I've devised a list of can't do's :)

It includes replaces the shower........taking the external christmas lights down that haven't worked for 2 years.....taking a half inch of the back gate so it could be opened and the kids don't have the lift a fence panel up to get their bikes out of the garden (luckily the bike has a puncture) fixing a puncture........

I have a man and he can't do any of the neccessary jobs either so I have to pay someone which is why my laminate flooring for 3 bedrooms, the front room, the dining room, passage and upstairs landing were on my landing for 3 years before I saved enough to get it laid last summer!!!

I have 3 bin bags of ironing in the boot of my car because my sister is coming for lunch tomorrow and I have nowhere to put it all!
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have the smallest car on the planet, yet it hides a multitude of sins. :D

Yoga kit, mat and blocks and I haven't been to yoga for almost three years. A briefcase full of papers, files, stationery and books from my evening class, finished over a year ago. A beach umbrella, brand new and never used; bought it and left it in the car over a year ago. Not to mention billlions of petrol receipts, printouts of directions to places, empty CD cases, loose CDs, half a bag of mints (over a year old) and I'm sure I've lost a pair of shoes somewhere in there, but I can't be bothered to look.

I did have a money box in the boot, (bought months ago for my new MSE lifestyle) and today I finally fished it out and went around the house, collecting up all the spare coins: from the fruitbowl, the laundered ones on top of the washing machine and various kitchen and bedroom drawers. :T

    My fruit bowl currently contains:

Half a pack of Halls mentholyptus
    Nut crackers
    Pencil
Pillbox containing my meds for this evening
    Mobile phone
    And one slightly sad-looking banana

Erm I've never taken down my bedroom curtains to wash [they're cream]....although I have hoovered them occasionally. Only had them up 9 years!! Also deliberately ignore the windows on a sunny day....I do "clean" them moderately regularly but tbh if I look on a sunny day I see that I've only effectively managed to smear them. At least on the many dull days we're having at the moment I can pretend that they're sparkling:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
