I had cold vegetables for my dinner with cold gravy cos I couldn't be bothered to stick it all in the microwave or flick the kettle switch

I have a load of washing to be put away, I have 2 loads in the TD drying. The first load was nearly dry but I couldn't be bothered to wait so lobbed the wet stuff in with the 'nearly dry' - bad, old me!

Mr CG moved in with me on New Year's Day. My gloryhole (dumping ground/ utility room type place) is full of boxes of his clothes. It's like a task from the Krypton Factor or Crystal Maze to get to the freezer or TD, what with the boxes and the overflowing recycling bags. The bedroom looks like a sh!thole too and sadly, it will remain so until he comes home again and puts wardrobes together cos I doubt that I will have any interest - and he could be away for up to a month.

I have 13 yoghurts in my fridge that are out of date. I hate yoghurt but ate 2 of them this evening cos I don't want to bin them, but maybe I will.... yuck!

No fruit in my fruit bowl, no nothing nowhere...

OMG this just the funniest thread on this site, it cracks me up every time.
My house is a tip most of the time, there are reasonable areas at the moment, but only because of people visiting over christmas.

Our bedroom is of the type where I take a mental picture of the route to the bed just before I switch the landing light out, so that I know where to put my feet and not twist my ankles on route.

Having spent most of ......well forever.... getting DD2 to tidy her room, we were getting somewhere in the month or so before Christmas and loads of stuff that she doesn't need was put in our dining room in a 'lets pretend we will do a car boot in the spring' kind of way. She then eventually finished clearing the floor a week or so before Christmas and it actually had a hoover used in there..........it was amazing. At which point it was nearly Christmas and I said all that stuff needs to go back up there as we need to use this room for family coming for Christmas Dinner. Her room is as bad now as it was this time lastyear/and the year before/and the year before........needless to say having finally put all that effort in she was distraught !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok lets hope I dont temporarily kill the thread again :D

    I confess :
    • I could not be bothered to meal plan over the weekend. This evening it was too much effort to think what to cook for tea so I asked the kids what they wanted. One ended up with fried eggs and a piece of toast, the other a sausage and cheese sandwich  and I had leftover sweet and sour chicken. Other half has gone to work and I dont have a clue what he took.
    • There is still a roasting tin from lunch yesterday "soaking" on the draining board and another one in the sink.
    • There is a basket of washing (that has grown to 3' tall) in the dining room that I cant be bothered to sort out.
    • There is wet washing in the machine (which probably needs washing again now) and another load gaining creases in the tumble dryer.
    • I have got used to not ironing (except school/work stuff). Most of mine and other halfs clothes end up in large trolley bags on the floor in the bedroom and if you reach to the bottom of a bag they come out fairly flat anyway.
    • In an attempt to create an office in one of the spare rooms most of the clutter has been decamped to what was the other spare room (which was habitable but isnt now)
    • I now have 4 large plastic buckets of rotting food (which stink) outside the back of the house because I cant be bothered to go down to the compost bin on the allotment as it is cold and wet
    • And while its been cold and/or wet I havent been outside into the back yard to pick up the dog poo but I think I will have to address this soon
Ok I think thats it for now. I have printed a flylady list for this week and am going to do some of that although none of the above are on the list :rotfl:

PS I too have to make a mental note of the route to bed from the door!

    I confess
    • I left all last nights tea things out in the kitchen so have had to clear them up.
    • The remains of the beef casserole was still in the slow cooker but Ive boxed it up and will freeze it. By the time OH gets it out to take for a tea at work he'll have forgotten it was out of the fridge all night.
    • My ironing pile is so big its the width of 2 trolley bags and as high as my utility room window sill. DD actually climbed onto it when OH had to put her through the window when they locked themselves out. Some of it did get despached upstairs to our room and still sits in the trolley bags it went up in, and there is stuff in there from our summer holiday last August.
    • Roasting tins are meant to be one use and throw away arent they
    • I put the first coat of paint on the dining room [strike]3 years ago[/strike] oops it was February 2002 and finally got round to the second coat in February this year but only managed to and a half walls. The painting stuff still sits under a chair.
    • The lounge hasnt had a second coat on it yet and that must be another [strike]3 years [/strike]- oops its was August 2003 the camera never lies
    • We have never painted the hall stairs and landing since we moved in as we cant reach it - it has a 24' drop so is still the lovely shade of purple that it was when we moved in , in 2000!
    • I do have patches on the wall in the hall from tester pots and they must have been there since 2003
    • The lampshade on the top landing is minging as I cannot reach it to clean it
    • I cleaned the outside of my upstairs windows about a month ago for the first time since we moved in, when I borrowed the window cleaners stuff from work.
    • Since we had our attic conversion our room never got finished as the builder went over budget and did a bunk so we have not had a carpet in there since it was built in 2003
    • When DD was smaller ie 2003 we used to play eye spy in bed in the mornings and every morning we would have eye spy with WB for window blobs that were the bits of glue and paper left on the velux windows. They are still there
    • The window blobs on the glass at the top of the spiral stair case can never be removed as none of us can reach and being a spiral stair case you cant use a ladder
    • We have never built wardrobes into our attic room so constantly live with the floordrobe although I have a mega shoe cupboard under the eves
    • We have a room that is known as the bin. My sons old room should be the office but every time anyone comes to stay and we have a clear up it gets chucked in the bin.
    • The bin is also where DD's toys get sent when she wont clean her room up as I got fed up riding round with 5 bin bags full in the car
    • When my dad asked me to clear some boxes out of his garage I drove round with them in the boot of my car for a year and a half and only moved them (straight into the attice!) when I sold the car.
    • I never clean the car - I think the last car I did was my little Triumph Spitfire which was pre DS so must have been about 1990 - 1991
I think thats probably it for now

EDIT forgot to say I think I probably hang washing out on the line - twice a year. TD has been on at least 4 times this morning

I have today finished painting the dining room :T :T :T :T . I sent hubby to go and buy the new bookcase we'd talked about for months so decided as the old one had to be moved I might as well get the paint out and finish it. Its done - well the purple skirting has gone but it could do with a second coat but I dont think theres much chance really

This thread has given me hours of giggles I'll tell you!!
    lol!!!

Thank the gods I am not alone!!!!! :D

Yesterday I used instant mashed tatties to make make onion and carrot mash. I had ran out of tatties and had a house full of kids. Didn't fancy taking them all out to the shops. Got instant mash in pantry as emergancy backup. :D

I would rather spend hours reading on MSE and imagine myself cleaning rather than actually cleaning...

When I think about cleaning my house I can mentally see myself doing it. Then when it comes to me getting up and really doing it.... I feel like I've already done it and can't be bothered to do it 'again' ....

I use the car to drive my kids to school even though I could easily take the bicycle. (it's even quicker on bike as you can then take the shortcut road) But I've been finding it cold and wet... and well, had an excuse pretty much every day so far.

I let DH buy a new, HUGE flat screen tv with a tax refund we got, rather than saving the money.....
my excuse for that was that at least now he's stopped nagging me...

    :D
