More recently i joined in Ceridwns simplyfying thread and got as far as producing a list of all the things in my life I could easily get rid of -then backed off in shame at my complete failure to actually do anything on the list.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: now...you realised there might just be one teensy little snag to that admission...a sleepless night since typing that wondering if ceridwen would read that:D
:hello: HALLO! ceridwen here!:D

Ok here is my main one,
I have been doing no cleaning, just tidying my house as we are getting building work done and I dont see the point in trying to keep up with all the dust etc. Will just clean it all when they are finished. Much less stressful!!!:beer:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 086Proud to be dealing with my debts !Total Debt: Was £6368.84  now £945.36Sealed Pot Challenge 049 Aim £5000 -
This thread has made me laugh lots. Thanks - here's my confessions.
I am currently out of clean socks. I had a clean pair that needed the cow sewing back on. So I did that this morning so my feet wouldn't get cold. But I sewed the cow onto the back of the sock by accident and can't be bothered doing it again.
The steam cleaner I need to use to clean the spare room carpet has been at the top of the stairs for over a week. I trip up it every morning but can't be bothered to move it and/or clean the carpet.
My fruit bowl is full of overripe bananas - 10 of them. Maybe I'll make banana bread - tomorrow.
I can't get into my t-shirt/top drawer as there is a pile of ironing in front of it. As a result I have got dressed only twice in the past fortnight.
I spilt salt over the kitchen floor the other day because the pot had stuck to the bottom of the cupboard and I pulled it a little too hard to get it out.
The salt is still on the kitchen floor.
My mom and dad came to visit 10 days ago. She cleaned the bathroom (and it took her about 2 hours - oops). It hasn't been done since.
DH moved the settee yesterday and found a (dead) cockroach and a locust under there. They look like they've been there a while.
And it's my anniversary today, and DH is busy at work taking my PhD pictures, so I really should at least try and have things tidy for when he gets home.0 -
Were the roach and locust the animal food? Otherwise  .
Well I mangaed to hurl everything out of the dishwasher back into the cupboards and then chuck all the dirtys back into the DW. I've put the washing in the dryer so I have a clean dry uniform for tonight. I'm not ironing it though!
My carpet is minging and desperately needs the hoover run around but I can't be ar5ed to move all the paintpots and plasterboard to do it.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Thank you Thank you all!!
Not only have you had me howling with laughter [DH has given up giving me strange looks and is now at rolling eye & tutting stage!]
As a bonus I no longer feel as guilty for my house 'to do' list involving every room, every cupboard & surface......and places I know I'd forgotten existed till someone else 'fessed their sins.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
TOP TIPS THEN:
If you hang washing on line it creases less...If you fold it just right when it's dry you never need to iron it.......:T:T This is an acquired skill, so far DH & both DDs claim they are incapable of doing sohmmm
Wire fruit bowls can be trained to store junk....tips available on request!!
Other fruit bowl is excellent for storing onions......Wait til you see their faces when they ask you if we have any onions, and you tell them 'Yes look in the fruit bowl!! ROFL first time:rotfl::rotfl:
Paper breeds and multiplies in my house...Lounge table proving most fertile breeding ground so far...still experimenting with dining table and letter rack:eek: Results not as spectacular.
Growing new dog with moulted hair & fluff on landing, new hoover to be tested at weekend to see how long this is likely to take.
Gotta go now DH has just stomped off in disgust at my cackling, follwed by lots of keyboard clicking [BTW noe have 2 F keys as _ has rubbed off my E- hope that makes sense!]
Happy Days!!:T £500 saved this year on annual Building & contents cover :T
:T £200 refund from bank for address error & missing bank card :T
:T * Free * gas and electricity pending supplier's compliance with Ombudsman's decision. :T0 -

pigpen - I have never heard of 'burping his worm' either! And watching the proceeds going round my dyson's cyclone double blee! I love my dyson, on my second one, but the upright is better than my current cylinder. But then again, I've yet to use a Henry........0
