How come I don't know any of you people? My friends homes are like palaces, so perfect and you just know you have to take your shoes off.

Then I go home and feel the need to clean and tidy up as mine just doesn't come close.

I forgot to add that I very rarely clean my oven, usually just before or after Xmas. Try and keep the top clean. I clean my fridge when I look it it and think Urgh! I have pulled my cooker out for at least 6 months and I rarely clean inside my cupboards. Must do that sometime:rolleyes:

Forgot to add that my car inside is disgusting, full of mud, sand, sticks, shells ect. I do have a rubbish bag that vaguely gets used.

I think we have the same friends :rotfl: :rotfl: I have one the last time she came to stay .. (please bear in mind I had been cleaning for 2 days prior to her arrival)

Complained ... yes complained about the foloowing :

Some of the clean polished bottles arranged in a row in the bathroom were empty.

The pristine kitchen (it shone it took hours) didn't have a tea towel available.

The living room small window above the tv didn't have a curtain ... its 5 cms high by about 30 long and by the ceiling hardly a problem ... all the other windows have curtains.

She couldn't locate a mop when she spilled stuff on the floor ... I use flash wipes so don't have a mop

She then proceeded to announce that she had no idea how I could buy clothes when I lacked so many basic things for the house:confused:

Thankfully she didn't open the spare room up.

    xx

Could he be taught to spin and knit?
Could his name be changed to Brian?
    Is it already?

:rotfl: :rotfl: Think might have to mention that to him - it would be a sign of true love.

I also have washed DS' footie boots in the wm however as they are nikes there is something in them that stinks like cat wee when they are wet -literally stinks the house out.

How I envy you people,I can't and I mean can't take short cuts with my housework.I just have to do things.I think it goes with the strict upbringing I had, where everything had to be perfect or else.I can cut corners in every aspect of my life except for my housework,I suppose I always feel I'll be judged if everything is'nt perfect.I'm ashamed to say that my cooker is cleaner than when I first got it, even after two years of constant use.I am so organised it's sad realy. The thing is I just love to go to other people's homes that are a bit dishevelled and feel very comfy and wish I could be like that myself,I just know I can't.

Plese don't hate me chardonnay. I'm selling at the mo and had a new pale carpet put down! :o

I agree with ceridwen, We decluttered to bare so the house looks good - and it does. I have to keep it clean in case someone comes at a moment's notice and if I don't I get very agitated, so doing it is the only option.

Because all surfaces are kept clear, cleaning by rubbing over with a wipe makes cleaning easy.
