...they will instruct a solicitor to take it to court.
Or did they perhaps say......they may instruct a solicitor to take it to court.I'm worried that I haven't read about things being taken this far before.0 -
Thank you. The letter says that they will pursue the matter-with or without my cooperation - and are passing the matter to their solicitors. Graham White. I'll have a read of the other board. Usually passing it to GW means you are nearly at the end of the paper trail. Expect another threat o' gram and then possibly one offering a discount and a pretty please at the bottom. After this you normally hear no more.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Graham White (aka Mr Michael David Sobell) is/are well known for being part of this scam. They don't do court and can safely be ignored.
Incidentally, Mr Sobell must now be in his 70's and he also works for Hackney Council.
Please read this :- Pepipoo for more information about him. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Hi everyone
I've just got a ticket off Excel. I was just about to post the envelope with my £100 pound cheque sealed with my own tears on and then decided to just check this website first. SOO glad I did, they're not getting a penny of my hard earned money they are just robbers. Same as before, genuinely didn't see the sign. Never shopped in Stockport before, never will again.0 -
Anyone in similar difficulties should (a) take notice of the OP's brilliant work and other like-minded souls and (b) drop a line to 'Honest John' at the Daily Telegraph. The guy has been waging his own war on scumbags like Excel for quite a while.0

Honest John is an imbecile.
There is a thread about him and his inept advice here.

I've had a parking charge notice from EXCEL PARKING (with photos of my car) for £60 for 11 mins on the Moor street centre in Brierley hill. I was in a rush, had no change and thought I'm only dashing in and out, it'll be ok...... wrong! So, I asked them on this occation to show a little good favour and reverse the charge, then sent me an essay of an email saying I still need to pay..... Also just had the cat converter, lights and gasket done on my flippin car (£450). I'm so broke, and right before Christmas. QUESTION..... have I totally put my foot in it by responding in the 1st place. ANY advice people? I get some saying, just pay it, others saying ignore it. I admit I should have got a flippin ticket and normally do......0
