I was on it and they stopped it now i have appealed and they now give me £44 a week to live on. I have worked since i was 16 & worked in my previous job for 7 years. I was bullied in the workplace & was froced to leave I am now taking them to tribunal. I earned £23,000 pa and now live on this. It's hard & I don't think you are in a position to judge anyone in this situation.
robpw2 I hope you get something sorted i was fortunate enough to be given my benefit today
Yes, I have had to live on IB. I have also had to live on even less. You learn to budget.
It wasn't suddenly announced yesterday that there was a bank holiday (though the OP doesn't think there is a BH!), we have known there was going to be a BH today for a long time.
Do you think that the DWP should have sent somebody out to the OP just to give him approx £15? He has admitted that he has food in the house.
What is he going to do at Christmas? Ring the DWP on Christmas Day to get them to bring his dinner? :rolleyes:Gone ... or have I?0 -
 go wash your mouth out with soap and water  :rotfl:
just to show the focus on quality of the regulatorThe removal of the requirement, from most Standard Licences, to maintain a financial guarantee or contractual arrangement to ensure that, in the event that they ceased to operate, postal packets in the Licensee's care would be delivered.
Postcomm has considered the views and responses that it has received and the advantages and disadvantages of removing the requirement for a guarantee or contract. Postcomm is concerned that the guarantees are difficult and expensive to arrange and maintain. Meanwhile, applicants can only make contractual arrangements with another operator if that operator is willing to do so. Postcomm does not consider it appropriate for the entry into the market of one operator to depend on the willingness of others to cooperate with it. The current requirement to set up a guarantee or a contractual arrangement with another operator therefore represents a considerable barrier to entry.
and they dropped the cost of the licence0 -

i'm not saying that at all. what i'm saying is that surely you have to have some sympathy with OP. you don't know the background or the situation fully. I'm just aware of how hard it is as you will also be aware that budgeting isn't easy if you don't know how!!!!! like i said in my post its hard jumping from a wage to a benefit & budgeting.BEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!!0
