the business is more intrested in maikig a profit than providing good customer service .. we used to have two posts a day and no it is so erratic
sorry removed but about privitisation
its a public limited company but its no longer state owned as it used to be
the government is the sole shareholder
they will quite happily let it go.
a cynic would think they are letting it go to the dogs to be 'rescued' by private ownership
just look at the similarity of whats going on now

Benefits are supposed to be paid every second thursday and apperently direct deposit is supposed to be better than giros.
It takes 5 working days for it to reach your bank from the day of payment,
i rang today to see if i could get a giro.
the gentleman said yes youll get it tommorroe (i said its good friday and he said no youll get it tommororw)
just rang po and they dont make deliveries on gf or em so unless they deliver it on saturday i will be without any money till tuesday and if i had done direct deposit i would have had no money till next friday grr ..
its not easier at all
Please forgive me but I don't understand your situation or vent.
Do you normally get your IB by DD on a Thurs? If so, the DWP/govt will have sent the money to the bank several days ago so you can collect it today. If you have an ATM card you can collect it tomorrow as ATMs aren't covered by Public Holidays.
Alternatively, do you normally get your IB by Green Giro which arrives at your house on a Thurs? If so, its somewhere in the system, but the govt will only have paid for a non- guaranteed service. Your complaint is therfore with the issueing authority in govt.
On the later thread question of ownership, as confirmed by Custardly, RMG is owned still by govt (they are the sole shareholder). So again, if you don't like the way posties are delivering mail, you need to make your views known to the govt or their statutory bodies i.e. postwatch/ postcomm. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

Thanks for the clarification robpw2. I understand what you're saying now. How do you know it wasn't there?
So the DWP didin't send the money to the banks in time, presumably then, this is pretty wide spread as I believe they tend lots of payments together in 1 big file to the banking system. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

mail loads are differnet every day so if it averages at 11.30am its hardly a problem is it.im sure plenty would love to get mail in the morning.
FYI posties start earlier on a saturday in most offices
lol, if our postman arrives before 12 its early. We live in a rural area and out postman covers 3 villages and does a great job,(and he gives our dogs a biscuit each day:D). Our post is normally with us between 1 and 2, but can vary an hour either side of that, as long as the post arrives I dont mind what time it arrives!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
dmg24 i understand what you are saying but have you tried to live on Incapacity benefit? I was on it and they stopped it now i have appealed and they now give me £44 a week to live on. I have worked since i was 16 & worked in my previous job for 7 years. I was bullied in the workplace & was froced to leave I am now taking them to tribunal. I earned £23,000 pa and now live on this. It's hard & I don't think you are in a position to judge anyone in this situation.
robpw2 I hope you get something sorted i was fortunate enough to be given my benefit todayBEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!!0 -
