Didn't they offer you that ??

It really is better and easier to get your benefit paid by DD .. you know exactly when it will appear in your account and can budget accordingly... relying on the post to arrive at a certain time is not a good idea...
Our post comes on Saturday and the post office is open till 12.45#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

To be honest I think you are making a fuss about nothing.
You are not the only person in this situation, and thousands of other people make do, either by making alternative arrangements or by budgeting for the longer period.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Well, if your giros late and to prevent hardship ....
Contact your nearest Social Service office after 6pm tonight, tell them your payment will be late & that the DSS didnt offer you a counter payment & ask them to contact the DSS Out Of Hours Officer for your area.
He/She will come out to your home & if appropriate will offer you an emergency cash payment tonight to tide you over until the weekend.
They'll dock it off your next payment unfortunately but it might get you out of a fix for the next day or so ...0 -
