Good advice given.....if your not thinking of phoning till the weekend T77 then you might not actually get to speak to someone if its pre-booked calls.......so all that build up of courage could be let down....best to make the call now and arrange an appointment for when your currage is built up IYSWIM.
Well done for taking no notice of the prat....when your confidence has been knocked, it cant have been easy.I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Hello Terrified - hopefully I can help you out.
You have been given some very good advice from what I have read so far. The reccomendations that you speak to the CCCS are very good. The CAB can also help you with your decision and advise you on what will happen if you decide on bankruptcy. For further information you can also visit www.insolvency.gov.uk for up to date leaflets and other info on bankruptcy and IVA's.
To put your mind at ease - Bankruptcy is not a criminal offence and you will not go to jail. To repeat another poster, the most that will happen is they will try for a BRO (Bankruptcy restriction order) this can last between 2 and 15 years, although in your case I would say a max of 3 years if at all.
Please take my advice and do not try to hide the money you have, they WILL find it and will have a much stronger case for a BRO.
They will also try to retrive the money you lent to your friend last year so be prepared for that if you decide on bankruptcy.
Hope this helps

You guys are all making me feel like crying! In a good way!! I feel so supported by all of you, it's wonderful. Thank you, thank you, and thank you some more. I can't make personal calls from my work line so I'll have to try and get home earlier tonight than last night (worked til 7pm) and see if I can still get through on one of the debt lines. I hope you guys are right and it's a question of pre-booking a more in depth call because I'm about ready to start panicing again
On a lighter note, I can't see avatars(as mentioned above) ..... is that just me? Do I have to change a setting somewhere?

Was the avatar inspired by that Trolling Irish Banker? (no offense to Irish or Bankers)...
