jonesMUFCforever may or may not be talking soft but he is speaking good sense.
... unless, that is, you consider his premise to be faulty and that it IS in order to borrow money and not repay. Would that be OK if it were your money lent out?0 -
There ought to be a number on the letter you can call to arrange a repayment plan if you can't afford to clear it all this month. It's only if you don't do anything that you'll end up paying unauthorised OD fees.0

Behave yourself
Half of you lot must work for banks...
The bank KNOW the OP owes them already , so they KNOW they are unlikley to get the £750 anytime soon , so whats the point of screwing them further ?0 -
It's called managing away - bad risk- where they think it will cost them more than it is worth to pursue.0

OP do you have an account you can open without an overdraft facility?
eg i opened an old savings account (that i had as a child) into a current account. The banks usually try to close you account if you have debts with them im surprised you were not advised by the cccs of this. Your overdraft then becomes part of your DMP“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -

So would you lend some stranger £750 who is already using a debt collection agency. Get real....banks are a business and if I was in the business I would do the same.Cashpricezac-Yorkshire:j

Are you stupid ?
GET REAL how is halifax going to get there £750 back by taking the overdraft away ?
When they KNOW the OP is already paying pitiful amounts to pay off another debt
Theres no need for it in cases like this , it just pushes people further into cash crisis
And the fact that hardly anyone agrees with me shows the way this webste is going
Dont bother replying0 -

Well I will reply as clearly I am not stupid, I manage my finances and appreciate you have to work hard to get any where in life....and that banks are businesses. The bank is being responsible to its shareholders and not continuing to give people money that they can't afford. Maybe most people don't agree with you as they too work hard to keep their finances in order and appreciate banks are not charitiesCashpricezac-Yorkshire:j

Who said its not being repaid ?
I would have thought it`s better to pay it back via salary even if its used again till the next month , than the OP or anyone else having to pay £2 a month for the forseeable future...
how does that help ANYBODY ?0 -

So it`s ok for the shareholders for Halifax to TAKE AWAY the interest being charged on a £750 OD and to then take £2 a month for years instead ?
Or even worse sell the debt to a debt collection agency ?
How is this helping them as a business ? because while the OD is still live and being used , they are MAKING money0
