Hello everyone:hello:
Hope no-one minds if I join in, I read the daily everyday but don't post, which seems a bit daft!
Smoky - thinking of you and your family.
Not got much really planned for today. Need to clean up (especially the kitchen which looks like a bomb has landed), also need to tackle the washing which seems to breed in the laundry basket, and will probably bake some of Twinks delicious hobnobs later - they last about 5 minutes here!
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
PENPIN - I really wish we could wave a magic wand and make you better; I don't know how you cope with feeling ill all the time. I take my hat off to you. I hope you have a better day today and a great Easter weekend.
CATOWEN - (((hugs))) to you today. It must be sad losing a LO but feel comforted by the thought that you have shared a lot of fun with him.
MARTYN - We used to have a motorhome and there's no love lost between motorhomers and caravanners, is there?! Apparently, motorhomers pinch all the watering points but we made sure we never did! We had a long-running but friendly feud between us and DH's uncle who had a caravan; all sorts of insults were sent between us by email - it was a lot of fun! We loved the motorhome and saw a lot of Europe with it but, unfortunately, it wasn't used enough to justify it so we sold it because we needed the money to pay for more important things like the mortgage! Like your diving gear, it's something we want to buy again when the time is right. That and another motorbike - a combination of the two is one of our dreams!
KYLE - good luck with the ear nurse! I've never had that done but DH needs it doing now and he won't get round to it! I've been putting olive oil in his lughole which has helped a bit.
Our local school Easter holidays are not for a couple of weeks - apparently, Easter itself is too close to the last half term.
Well, I'd better go and put another load in the WM and clear up the breakfast things. I've changed the sheets and cleaned upstairs - I'm just waiting for the hoover fairy but she (or he?) hasn't turned up so I guess I'll have to do it!
See ya!

MISTY MOODLES - of course we don't mind; we're too nice a bunch to mind! Welcome - hope you enjoy it here!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Hello everyone
What a lovely friendly bunch you all are. This is my first post on day one of my money saving, uncluttered, organized and brand new life!
My original plans for today were to attack my laundry mountain and begin an expedition into unchartered waters (aka my 9 yo twin DD's bedroom.) But having discovered how much this wonderful forum has to offer will probably just load the washing machine and spend the morning sitting at the pc!
This afternoon I have to ferry one twin to a football match collect one from guitar lesson and collect oldest DD (10) from school band practice.
Tonight I intend to have words with DH who came home with 6 boxes of clutter from his sister's house yesterday as she is having a clear out!
I hope you all have a great day and achieve something however small.

Morning All,
Well that's DS off to school so another quiet day for me! Have just set the breadmaker going so I have some lovely fresh bread for lunch - yum!
Am planning on making orange fairy cakes (courtesy of the ASDA mag) this afternoon, will see how I feel.
Donny-Gal - I like the idea of cross-stitch but have trouble sewing a button on straight! :rotfl: Any ideas for easy, newbie attempts?? Have next week off work, then back for a week then 2 weeks off for Easter as DS is only off this weekend, their hols start on 7 Apr.
Welcome to all the newbies, this site is fantastic and very addictive - you have been warned!!
Hugs to those in need, glad you posted Pen-Pin was beginning to worry cause we hadn't heard from you for a while, did you sort out the ironing smelling of cigs problem yet?
Right off to have a relaxing bath, while trying to keep my ankle dry:eek: , I should become a contortionist!! Will pop back later.
Have a good day one and all.

:rotfl: :rotfl: We used to go caravanning as kids and my mum hated it - she used to define it as "the concept of moving the !£$%$?! housework into the middle of a muddy field"

morning everyone
I am so excited that it's nearly the easter holidays! I have an exam this afternoon, but then I have 5 days off. Pure bliss!
yesterdays exam went really well and to relax in the evening I started my knitted square. This caused much hilarity with DH. Apparently I did a lot of muttering whilst learning to cast-on!
Chicken and cous cous for dinner - remembered to take chicken out of freezer so feeling organised. Now must put kettle on and get cramming for this afternoon.
see you all later xxx
PS ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs to everyone)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
