Godd morning everybody
((Hugs)) for Smokey
Penny Watcher - good luck with laundry mountain, I was planning to start ascent last night but didn't even get to first base camp.
In early this morning as I have a meeting at 8am and want half hour of instrument time before I go in [STRIKE]to sleep[/STRIKE]. Still, samples are running and more importantly, the kettle is on, so I should survive! It's really quiet here as lots of people have gone home for Easter already, lots of my collegues have family abroad so the place does quieten down a few days before as people fly home. I like it when it's quiet, I get far more done
Did simple pasta for tea last night, I'm not a big fan of pasta myself but it was easy and OH really likes it so it was fine. Experimental-Fridge-Suprise-Veg soup in the slow cooker for tonight, although I'll have to blitz it to hide the parsnips. I didn't manage to get to market yesterdaybut I did manage to clean the house up a little bit.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning all!
Am off now till next Thursday!:j DS2 breaks up today and tonight I'm collecting DS1 from his lodgings for the weekend.
Poor DH only gets Sunday off as he's a milkman but he gets paid extra for working I think.
Was pleased that I didn't put any weight on last week while I was in Cornwall:j not sure how I did it as I ate anything and everything:D might catch up with me next week though!
(((smoky)))
Catowen - hope you enjoy the party and have a good week off!
Better get going and do something now, TTFN xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi Guys!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
Ive had a rough few days, so not been able to post too much. Blood levels are coming back poor again and I just feel crap basically:rolleyes:
Have the cleaner here this morning then a meeting with Social Services. OH & I have discussed about the care I receive from them and we may ask them to lower the hours. OH doesnt like other people helping me and I like the consistensty of the same person which they can't guarantee. It would be easier to pay OH as he does most things anyway, but I dont think this is allowed.
DD off school today till Tuesday:j :j :j :j ....so I have some good company anyway:D
Just off to have some breakfast and get the mealplan thread started for this week.
Hugs to all.
Smokey-Thinking of you all hun!

Good Morning!
Final day before four days of absolutley no work what so ever! :j First break of the year for me. Lots planned. Shopping with sis and Mum, going to the theatre - been given a pair of tickets - meeting up with a friend and having sis and BIL over for Easter Dinner. So should be a good weekend.
I finally have news from the landlord. I have to write to them to say I want to install new windows at the flat. Slightly concerned I've not yet heard from the mortgage people saying when my first payment will be taken and how much it'll be. Also had a council tax bill, even though I've told them the property's empty
Heading to the Debenhams sale later, as Mum wants to see what she can find. Might find something for the flat there too. Annoying that they don't take part in the nectar scheme anymore though.
I really can't wait for Easter Sunday as I will be able to drink tea again!!! Gave it up for Lent and it just seems like an eternity since I had a cup!!!:rotfl:
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning everyone
DS and DD finish at lunchtime today, which means I do too! :j Only for the Easter weekend though. Their two-week holiday is in a fortnight. Still, will enjoy having a couple of extra days off.
Smoky thinking of you and yours.
Pen-Pin Sorry you are feeling so rough at the moment.
Pen-Pen whereabouts are you going in Italy? Hope you have a lovely time.
kyle good luck with the ear syringing.
(hugs) to those who need them. :j to those with something to celebrate.
Found a leaflet for a local Farmer's Shop so think I will head out there at lunchtime and have a look-see. If it's as good as the leaflet says then I may become a regular customer.
Can't quite decide what to do this weekend as DS and DD are with XDH. It may be a good time to try and get some clutter out of their rooms. Will definitely do some batch cooking though as I now have room in my freezer. :j
Will see how I feel as I seem to be coming down with the bug that's doing the rounds here at the moment. My throat is scratchy, my nose is starting to stream and my ears have that horrible feeling as though red hot pins are being pushed through them.
Have a thrilling Thursday everyone. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
