    Hi All,

Hugs to those who have probs with relatives, work and bad dreams, but especially to Smokey.

I am sat here wondering what to do, should really put my feet up cause of the op but am bored! A couple of lads from work popped round earlier with a lovely bunch of flowers, an Easter egg for me & DS and a card signed by people at work, it was such a lovely gesture, wasn't expecting it at all. Am tempted to eat the eggs though! DS will be home in an hour so that will be peace shattered!!

Don't know what's for dinner, haven't looked yet, meal plan has gone out of the window until I am better, just taking it one day at a time, must load the BM up tonight for breakfast tomorrow.

Right off to make a coffee, take care all.

    xxxxxx

Yes, I have seen how friendly you all are, and there doesnt seem to be any of the stroppy posts, that I have seen on some of the other boards!

Have got my work cut out for me, there are 5 of us in my house, and I have decided that my shopping spend should not exceed £60 each week for the next month! (then I can decorate my downstairs loo!!!)

Been quite good so far, made casseroles stretch etc, am just gonna look at all the slow-cooking stuff for some ideas. The new house came with an Aga, which has taken loads of gtting used to - looks lovely, but tricky to master cooking times, but I think it should do slow-cooking really well. (we had planned to take it out and sell it, but I have got quite fond of it already)
so if anyone has ANY info on this it would really help me out!

Nothing amazing to-day apart from being married 31 years to-day

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Quiet Life!

Welcome to Kmate.I am very jealous of that aga!

We are back from the Physio and there was no sign of any electronic device! dh has a list of face exercises to follow twice a day so hope that gets those muscles working again, it seems that no one can say how long this will last so we have to be patient and dh is (bless him) being wonderfully patient.

My head is pounding so have given in and taken some painkillers and now need to relax, chill out and stop stressing!:o Puppy has been walked but is now running round and round at top speed in the garden! so when she stops I will go up for a rest.

Dinner tonight is leftover stew and dumplings with mash from last night and rhubarb fool.

Off to find a :coffee: and some :EasterBun

    Catz x

    Good Afternoon All

Well - it is good for me now Ive finished work for the day! Another day in paradise! Atmosphere worse! And now Im being made to work extra hours during the next half term to cover someone's holiday! Im just going to have a look in my contract to see if it says FLEXIBLE, as that was a word which was used!!!! Ive told the stand in manager, that I will read in the contract first, before committing to anything, and if not, I will stick to my normal hours!

I would like to say a big thankyou to Dlb, for letting me call her during the day to talk/moan to, without you mate - I wouldnt have no-one to talk to! Good luck with the slimming. Share your tips with me!
Tired mum, hope DD enjoys the concert, my OH likes Sugar Babes,
catowen - I too have been walking to school to fetch DD back. I only do it when the weather is nice! Im sure the mums will love & appreciate the coloured in cards! I know I would!
stefjb - hope your ear gets better soon!
Haribo - sounds like you've been having fun with the cat! My mums cat (who's lodging with me) cant walk around the bed, she has to jump on my pillow, walk over my head just to get to the other side of the room! Just one day I might have my pellet gun to hand!!!!
RozV - hugs to you and your OH and his dad! My ex was going to take the kids ice skating on saturday, but couldnt due to the ice hockey match! I will PM you shortly with regards to recruitment, thank you!
kyle - well done on the weight loss! Keep up the good work

Hi everyone - have half an hour before I collect DGS from school. I enjoy doing that because I miss it now that my own two are fully grown men (well, they think they are!).

REDRUBY - what a time you've had. I do hope it all gets sorted out soon; it's scary and sad, really, isn't it?

Welcome - KMATE - I think this is the friendliest thread of all; you'll enjoy it here and find lots of advice, tips and support when needed.

MARTYN - I heard that song, too! Yvonne Fair. You'll have other happier songs in the future, just wait and see. You are obviously a man of great taste, flair and sophistication if you listen to Radio 2. Ken Bruce is my favourite presenter on there! He's the only one who regularly plays my all-time favourite song, 'Abraham, Martin and John' by the one-and-only greatest singer since time began, Marvin Gaye.

QUIET LIFE - congratulations for your wedding anniversary!

Well, I have a delicious-smelling casserole in the oven, a box of hobnobs at the ready for DGS and quite a tidy house - at least, at the moment. It won't be quite so tidy once DGS has gone home!

I have found it hard to settle in to doing anything constructive today; I've been filing, though, and cleared a lot of paperwork away; that's quite constructive, really, so I feel better now! I managed to get a line full of washing dry but have just brought it in because the sky has gone a miserable grey colour. I went for a walk up to the shop for some milk; I did intend to go to the gym but will go tomorrow instead.

Anyway, I'd better get ready for the school run. Will see you all later.

Just read your post CRAZY - I do hope things get better at work for you but stick to your guns over the hours.

I have rescued my bag from yesterday............just having a break before sewing the handles on, putting the lining in and finishing it off. Might post a photo......depends how I feel about it when its finished...........

Nice cuppa and a hot cross bun (home made of course) I have the BM on, we have almost eaten the loaf I made on Monday....thats the trouble with HM bread, you eat more, it tastes so much better than shop bought bread.

Chicken and muushroom pie, mash, carrots and braised leek for supper with the last of the apple and blackcurrant crumble from the weekend.......the freezer is beginning to look a bit bare, using up the froszen fruit from the lottie at a rate now. I stll have quite a few blackberries left....roll on June and the strawberries!!!!!!!!!!!

OK break over..............Happy Anniversary Quiet Life, I managed 29 years to my first husband then decided I needed a change...........went for sugar daddy with no sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!
