  • Hi again,

I am just wondering who else in this forum has been recruited specifically for tech support. As you know, the training starts on 28th April. I have a few questions:

    i) Have you received your hire documents yet?

ii) Which days are you doing your training?

iii) What are the timings for the training?

Sorry I just need to make sure as I don't want it to clash with my other training and job, I have a feeling that it will :(

Hi angie - i think you will be better posting your tech support role questions on the other board as most on this one are either applying for or training for the sales role. However, most training seems to be weekday evenings. hope that helps.
livvylou - as far i was aware we will start taking calls at the start of week 5 which is the beginning of the nesting period. At that time we are also nesting during our scheduled working hours.personally i just want to get stuck in and get on with it lol.
I really hope we have a change of topic this evening as last night was a bit of a drain on the concentration. surely there isn't that much more to know about that particular product (apart from how to actually put an order through).
i have to say that once we have learnt the details of the final product i assume we will then move onto the company systems. How they are going to stretch that to 4 weeks long i have no idea.
have emailed Carlos a pic so maybe tonight we will all get to see who looks like what!

Ha Ha ! I found it draining as well and my computer kept crashing. I like you would prefer just to get stuck in. Most of the stuff we need to know is on the website if we get stuck. I feel 4 weeks is toooooooooooo long....

we seem to waste so much time lol. i think last night there were about 4 of us who all crashed at the same time. the thing that i think is a total pain in the a**e is that we have to come out of workbooth to go into windows and then back again. i don't think Carlos realises how long it takes to do that. At 10 to 11 last night he told us to go to TTU but i just didn't bother as it would have taken 10 mins to get out of workbooth and into windows lol.

Hi guys I applied for customer service rep and had a half hour interview today with a lovely chappy!! Whilst he was on the phone with me we did the pc test and pc failed , so I need to buy a router and a eartnet cable. He said I was highly suitable for both the technical post as well as the sales, so that really boosted my confidence.....

Now the training begins on the 26th May, if I remember rightly but can someone PLEASE ADVICE, WHAT ROUTER CAN I BUY AND DO I ALSO NEED TO BUY THE CABLE. I have been accepted for the job but need to sort this out first. if not the guy said he will keep on his future candidate list and to send him a email when I have the router sorted.

I don't really know what to with the router when I get it, thats the problem!!!
its really bothering me and this is an opportunity for me to earn some money.

Good luck with the training everyone, hope it all makes sense eventually!!!

Thanks for any help in advance

    a worried Snoop!!!

You can only connect to WorkBooth with a LAN connection so will need an ethernet cable-at your own expense although most people seem to have one kicking around at home if they are on-line. Various wireless routers have been bandied about but I've found most I've tried have worked-so start with the cheapest and keep the reciept in case you need to exchange it:)

    Hi all,

I hope you're getting on OK with your new jobs!

Could anybody please help clear up my confusion?!

I applied for BOTH the Inbound Sales job and the Customer Service Rep job as well.

I then received an invitation, to complete the online assessments for the Customer Svc Rep job.

I duly completed the online tests for this job, and then the next day (day before yesterday) I get an email from a rep at TeleTech thanking me for applying and taking the tests for the Inbound Sales job (no mention of the Customer Service Job!), and asking me if I'd like to have a telephone interview!

I agree to this, and then she phones me yesterday, and we arrange for one of the 'recruiters' to call me tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon for a phone interview..yikes! Is it scary? What kind of questions do they ask folks?!

I'm still baffled, as to whether or not I'm being considered for both Sales AND the Customer Service jobs! :o

The rep yesterday, did confirm on the phone, that she was interested in hiring me for the 'Inbound Sales' role, and she seemed none the wise regarding the other job..

She also promised to email me a job description, salary, hours to be worked etc, but this hasn't turned up

In my original email from her though, she did ask me which hours (from a selection) I could work though, and I told her yesterday, that I'd prefer the 4.30pm - 11pm (weekdays) and Sat and Sun 8.30am - 6pm..the average amount of hours per week seems vague, having read both threads on here, but the lady who called me seemed sure it would be around the 20 hour mark.

I'm looking for more hours than this to be honest..

What kind of weekly hours are you all working (in the Inbound Sales position)?

I'm hoping they'll consider me for both jobs, and I suppose I'll just go for the one which offers me the most hours per week! I realise that the sales job pays commission, but I'm not sure I want the added pressure of sales targets every week. Is the Customer Service job a little 'steadier'?

Anyway, I much get some kip..it's past my bedtime

    Night Night,

    Leigh x

PS - I've not had any initial 'group interview' at all, like some of you seem to have had.

Is this a good or a bad thing?!

    Thanks.

    Night x
