I was also told that it would be sat or sun. Also i was told that it was 4 hour shifts by my recruiter and the sales director. Not very happy as now wondering if I can actually do this job. Have put a lot into it

I also started training and after 3 weeks my schedule was given to me.
I also advised that it would only be Sat or Sun and i was given both. They are unable to amend this and you have to work was is given to you.

Needless to say i had no option but to resign.
  • oh well - the start of another week!! i'm still recovering from last week lol. It seems there are a few of us who are not too happy with the hours. Once they have more sales agents coming through i think there will be a better possibility of changing the hours. as we are the first lot i think they are half guessing when the lines will be busy. I mean I'm sure we all wake up at 8.30am on Sat or Sun and the first thing we think of is calling up (insert name of company) to change our broadband lol.

Was that for the customer service role? Are they going to contact you if the hours changed?

I really think they should give a schedule before they offer the job , then everybody would know exactly where they stood.
  • Hello everybody,

I have recently been recruited for training by Teletech after going through the interviews. My training starts on 28th April so I guess there might be a few others in the same situation.

I live in Birmingham and was hoping that somebody would help me with the address of a reasonable solicitor. One who would endorse my identification documents needed for the application for a reasonable fee and not a small fortune.

I have read some posts and they mentioned that it was about £7 which is quite reasonable.

    Let me know,

    Angie

The position was for customer services and when i noticed that the Sales position hours would have suited me perfectly i asked if i could change, unfortunately i was advised that this was not possible and that i would have to wait 6 months before reapplying. What a waste of resources when i had all the references checked, disclosure scotland and id from solicitor completed.
Agree that schedules should be given prior to commencing training.
There is definately a lack of communication in the company. Recruiters are great until you have a problem once you have started and you them find yourself going in circles.
I still feel that they are a good company to work for if the hours etc are suitable.

  • Thanks for the reply. Are you in Birmingham as well?

Will have to call up some of them and confirm it, will let you know it goes.

    Thanks again.

They don't charge much as basically they are only reading a letter, signing/ stamping a form and basically saying you are the person that the paperwork says you are (they check your details against your passport etc that you take to prove ID).
Most solicitors will do it as it's quick easy money for them and doesn't take them away from their main clients.
