i booked a trip last night on line with ebookers belfast to las veags 4 ppl in may. flight and hotel coming up £759 each.Bargain i thought...... I entered 4 people travelling and booked the flight and hotel together.
It now turns out i have only booked one room. The hotel accomodation on the email AND THEIR WEB SITE states ( this was before i confirmed booking. _ 1 BED SUITE - 650SQ FT ETC.
i assumed this was a suite each as the suite only sleeps 2 ppl max.
How would you sleep 4 ppl in a 1 bed suite.
e bookers want £900 to book another room or £460 to cancel
what will i do ? i cant afford another £900 and cant afford to lose £460
which was £100 each per flight and
£35 + £25 for cancellatoion of hotel
This holiday of a lifetime is turning into a nightmare...
I have just copied and pasted again your first post. In it you clearly state that you booked the holiday for 4 people, and that you later found that you had only booked one room.
How is this not your fault then?
Thanks for your other comments. You only have to ask if you want any other help.0 -
You are typical of the kind of person who has made a mistake - then its always somebody else's fault.harvey1964 wrote: »If you have nothing constructive to say please refrain from posting stupid remarks that are of no interest to the OP ( me )
How rude and Condesending........
Having read your previous posts you really rate yourself eh ?

OP, I have read MUFC's post and can see nothing condescending in it. Just plain facts of life, companies will use any strand they can grab onto to get out of paying up. You seemed to realise your mistake too, until you to found a strand yourself in the form of consumerline. If you only want sympathetic comments I am afraid that you have come to the wrong place, and think you have shown yourself up in your tirade directed at MUFC.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Another lesson about checking when booking on the Internet. As the OP stated......It now turns out i have only booked one room. The hotel accomodation on the email AND THEIR WEB SITE states ( this was before i confirmed booking. _ 1 BED SUITE - 650SQ FT ETC.
......it seems quite clear only one room was booked. Alarm Bells should ring in MSE'ers heads if a deal looks too good. Check and re-check before booking. It reminds me of the thread where an OP was complaining about their. treatment from Expedia. They'd booked up what they thought was a cracking deal, with Flights from Birmingham to Florida. What they actually booked were flights from Birmingham Alabama

I am really sorry that you have ended up with something you believe is wrong; as stated in previous threads, you do need to check and double check the information before commiting to buy. I know you feel aggreaved but I guess ebookers will say that their onformation was clear. Sorry, I think you more or less admit it was your inexperience in previous faults and please don't get annoyed as I know how lousy it can be to think everything is ok until you get the confirmation. Having a go at other MSEs won't really help you or make you fee better in teh long run. Don't know if you;ve managed to speak to someone in ebookers; not a good sign when 'someone will call you back'.
I think you've had some cracking advice from Blindman and trets77 and I hope that this works out for you. The moral of this sorry tale is don't buy a package from an agent as a DIY package is always cheaper and gives you more option to change (especially hotels). We went to the west coast last year for three weeks with several pre booked hotels. We changed dates and cancelled hotels three times with as little as 24 hour notice.
Good luck and possibly 'take the hit' putting it down to experience, otherwise you will be stressed out of your brains. It will be a fab holiday as LV is awesome!!! :cool:0
