I'm not quite sure how you expect to claim anything under the CCA?
The best you could hope for would be to cancel and start again IMO.0 -
Thats what i want to do. Either get e-bookers to honour their agreement or get a refund and start again. My budget was £800 per person. Not £1000 per person.....Thats why we bookes the Venetian, we were thinking we would get 4* for our budget.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »Quote ''Also as I had booked it on my credit card , my credit card company is equally liable under the Consumer Credit Act section 75 ( the amount has to be over £100

If they can (and they probably will) show that the error was made by you (and it was at the end of the day) then I feel that your CCA won't give you much if anything.harvey1964 wrote: »Thats what i want to do. You could always go down the strip to somewhere like the Sahara or Circus Circus - your budget should cover those hotels no problem.0 -

If you have nothing constructive to say please refrain from posting stupid remarks that are of no interest to the OP ( me )0 -

Hi,
I am so sorry for your dilemma. My husband once booked something online which was the wrong date and we got no refund and had to pay again (not nearly as much money as you are talking about) so I can truly sympathise. Has the promised telephone call from 'a manager' materialised today? Sally0 -
Hi Sally
Thanks for your concern. Its a minefield sometimes booking online. Not he did not ring ( manager ) and i had to ring them again and go through the whole saga as you actually get an Indian Call centre. I got another Supervisor and then another manager who needed to check more information etc and because its easter has promised to call me again on Tues. So more stress until then. Its a lot of money but it was to be a special Holiday not something we do every year, but hopefully will get something sorted on Tues or with the credit card company.
Happy Easter everyone0 -
