I will happily pay income tax
and council tax
but please could I have the option to keep my share of our beloved MP's/local councillors personal expenses. I need to refurnish my only (rented) home this year and could really do with a couple of holidays too! £22,000 should just about cover it :rotfl: Oh I think that means the government/local council owe me about £20,000 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .
Nice thread!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
i dont think the tv licence is expensive for what you get. all that entertainment for under £3 a week + the bbcs home produced programmes do tend to be better quality than the commercial channels.
would you really want ads on all channels?0 -
Gas & Electric, I begrude paying so much for them...my council is very good so I can't really complain there.
Bam x0 -
OP-double check with the Council about having to pay for the rat problem you are experiencing. I work for my local council's pest control section and we don't charge anything for rat problems-regardless of whether someone is on benefits or not.
Hope you get it sorted0 -
OH's CC bill!!! In fact any bill generated by OH!!!
Seriously though, Council Tax and any other money that goes to the Government!
I begrudge paying my taxes so that people who can't be arsed/have a fake disabilitly/produce kids every year so they don't have to work can have a free ride from the state, whilst there are people who desepartely want to go back to work, but can't find affordable childcare/practical help with a *real* disability, and 99% of the MP's claim my money as an allowance for new wallpaper/'fact finding' mission to so Carribean (sp?) COUNCIL TAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

What I really hate right now is bills that I know the people concerned want paying within the month, and yet haven't provided figures to me yet - that is, the council tax (as with so many others here at this time of year) and, on a personal note, our Motability Finance Grant contribution.
I hate hanging in mid air waiting for people to pull their fingers out, when I'm trying my best to get on top of the finances :rolleyes:DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
