For me it would have to be council tax, £108 a month for diddly squat.
If need the police there is never anything they can do (watching little sh1ts vandleise my car is not actual proof) ,
The binmen cost me more money by laving the bin by the road and usually they get blown in to the road, tree or in to the path of the car
I cant get the council to come and sort out the rat infestation under my decking and they have managed to get in the house a few times, i would have to pay £112 for them to come and look but if i were a council tenant or claimed c-tax benefit they would come out free of charge.
The roads are crumbling despite them only being done last year.
The recycling lorry sometimes forgets to do a few houses thus rubbish getting blown all over the street, in fact the whole recycling scheme is a joke.
The town council have increased their little bit by 37.4%, probably to cover the costs of a stupid questionnair last year on how we wanted the budget to be spent....at a cost of £148,000
Grrrrr i hate this bill

i was under the inpression that if rats were involved that they had to come and sort them for free as they were in fact bringers of disease...
when i had a mouse problem they sorted it in the house for nothing, but i had to pay to get the garage sorted... (although the very nice mouse man just put extra poisin in the trap things and told me to move them to the garage in 5-6 days;) )
i have always had the impression that if a house were involved that the only things that you had to pay to get sorted were fleas and ants as they technically could be lived with...
(i am not on any benefits and rent privately and inherited the problem...)
i also hate council tax, they are trying to make me pay to have my stolen wheelie bin replaced... i pay nearly a grand in council tax and they want another £15 off me for the bin. (which i could afford if i NEEDED to but it's not as if it'd cost them that to deliver and the wait is still 4-6 weeks!!!!).

another CT hater here. Our council want us pay £15 for a recycling wheelie bin, which I think its rediculous, I know its not a lot but it pays another minimum payment. If they want me to recycle they should damn well pay for the bin. But its the biggest bill outside of the mortgage and you never really see what you get for your money.0

I'm not going to discriminate against one particular bill, I hate them all equally!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
As someone who is part of the shared ownership scheme (part buy/part rent), I would have to say their service charges.
We are supposed to have buildings insurance inlcuded in this but it covers virtually nothing - cannot claim on it for a new boiler as it allegedly is not part of the building, it's the contents - not like I can take it with me if I move is it??
Similarly windows/doors, they are responsible either for the frames or the glass only (can't remember which one)
Also part of said service charges is communal area maintenance - again once every 2 months if we're lucky, they will cut the communal grass, but will not trim the hedges.
It covers touching up the paintwork on windows/doors every 3-5 years - unless you live in the houses in our close, they get nothing. Our fence was painted a couple of years ago and I think they got more paint on everything else than the actual fence.
I also agree with council tax - extortionate for next to nothing, we get fortnightly collections and the binmen always leave rubbish flying around!
The drains are always getting blocked as our block of flats is lower down that the rest of the close - at one point I had sewage coming out under my kitchen window.0 -

council tax, but only for 2/3 months, cos i pay it off in that time for the year, youd think it would be cheaper if you could pay it in one go, (id do it that way then) being as im sure they put more on top anyway for it being paid over 10 months, in some cases 12.0

Council Tax for me, too. Bill arrived on Saturday - £143 a month.  :eek:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
