TV Licence article Discussion

We moved home recently. In order to be legal and helpful I informed them on line of my change of adress and recieved an acknowledgement.
Blow me down 2 weeks later received a letter from TV licensing informing me I did not have a license and what they would do to me if I did not get one.
Phoned them and set them straight and said they would correct records.
3 weeks later after having bought new TV get another letter in exactly the same vein with same menacing threats.
Ok could have ignored it but phoned them again and tore them off a strip, told them what I thought of their ineptitude and that everything in future would go in the bin unopened.
Daft thing is we are both over 75 and get it gratis anyway. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0 -

If you do not already have a TV licence, for example you are setting up a new house, know this. Whenever you order one, it is only valid up to the end of the previous month. So if you order on 31 August, it is only valid up to 31 July. So you get 11 months for the price of 12. Really. It is surprising that this appalling behaviour is not highlighted in the original MSE article.0

Thats completely ridiculous that they can't do it from an exact date, I'd just go without until the next month started. You can watch it all for free on the various catch-up services anyway.0
