VM's cheapest rates (when you haggle) include their crappy TV service. And a landline. You pay more for Broadband only.

Returned the Tivo via a local store (got a receipt for it). Haggled real hard and got just BB+phone for a lot less than I had been paying.Initiate a switch to another provider, and VM retentions dept. will soon be in contact to price match. Her courage will change the world.

I just got another very threatening letter from the tv licensing people....I currently pay for Netflix, amazon prime and Now tv. I do not have my tv plugged into an arial....I’m assuming if they wanted to come in and look I can show this is my set up ? I DO not like real tv / live tv/news...nothing. Doesnt interest me, I don’t even have YouTube on my ROKU box. What else should I do to be ‘license free’. Thanks0

Bin it and don't let them in or talk to them0

Agreed. Bin all the letters, and don't let strangers into your house. Just close the door with a polite "No, thanks" and that's all. Don't engage in any way. The only power the BBC has is to get a search warrant, and the odds against that are well in your favour. "TV Licensing" (a BBC trademark like "Mr Blobby"), the threatening letters, the 'phone calls, the thugs at the door and all the rest are BBC inventions with no basis in law. Ignore them. Don't worry.

I got my latest "IN01O0A11" a couple of days ago, and delivered a load of them today.I also delivered a few of a type I've not seen before. When I spotted the first one I double checked the return address, but had suspected who it was from. Am now wondering when I might get one as I'd like to see how they differ inside (they were all addressed to 'the legal occupier', and I'm already at that stage).Cheryl0

Just not worth the risk of opening the door to these fools when they come knocking (banging ?). You really don't know what germs they are carrying...
