    I buy a licence.

As you should, if you are watching/recording live TV.
Trouble is too many free-loaders out there want something for nothing.

    I trust you aren't classing me as a "free-loader"?

I like the BBC no bloody adverts!

I like BBC radio and BBC website. Also like one player so don't mind contributing.

Trouble is too many free-loaders out there want something for nothing.

    I don't need a licence.

I like Netflix no bloody adverts!

I like NowTV no bloody adverts!

I'm indifferent to BBC radio and the BBC website. Occasionally use the free iPlayer service.

Trouble is too many free-loaders out there want something for nothing. Eh! The two examples above are not free... Nor is this board about watching live TV with no license...

The BBC needs to change, the days of vegetating in front of scheduled TV listings wasting your life watching dross and running up the leccy bill are gone...

Just recieved a visit from a Tv Licence inspector, told him I only watch streamed programmes from my streaming box and dont use or record live tv. He told me that if I have an Ariel and can receive live TV I need a licence and if I dint let him in now next time he would be with the police!!!! Looked it up online and you DO NOT Require a licence if you do not watch live TV or record Live TV!!! This kind of bullying tactics should not be allowed, needless to say I did not let him regardless of how much he bullied

I dont want these channels why are they treating me like a criminal

He's not an "inspector". He's a commission salesman.

Why did you tell him anything

When they come to do dont even speak to them just shut the door or better still dont answer it if you know its Capita salesman. They have no more rights and any Tom, !!!! or harry at the door. Only a search warrant can allow them entry.

When they come to my door they wont get any answers from me and it will be a compete waste of time on there part. of course if they get a warrant from a magistrate I let them in but they find my aerial/satellite feed on the floor behind tv stand all fastened with cable ties.

I also just watch netflix/ and nowtv I bought the streaming stick two of them for both tvs in house.

I have more than enough entertainment without having to pay for there licence to watch repeats and dross. They had the chance and blow it now I am exercising mine and not supporting them

Never let the swine's in, never answer there questions. They twist things around, intimidate people and lie and the stupid thing is the magistrates often give them a warrant on there say so regardless of proof

They won't even find that here. :D

Here's mine I took cable out of trunking that goes under tv

I have removed aerial and twin cable for satellite

I have a lot of cables around that area some are hidden in trunken that goes up wall to tv. Only way I can get live tv is via iplayer on tv (smart) or through Roku streaming stick.

But as I hardly ever watched live prior to £145 charge tv no fear of me watching live stuff

So far denied them £5.57 only stopped on 1st November take a while to recover from buying two Roku sticks

It depends on how you used to pay.

I always used to pay cash up front, so, every time an anniversary comes round, I add another years LF, to the amount I've denied them.

Come January 1st, it'll be over £1,000.
