Many thanks for your advice re refund of TV Licence now that my elderly mother is living with us. Got £105 back, a bit messy initially but worth the effort.

Hi, we have a tv licence in the house ... but we keep receiving letters for "The legal occupier of the ground floor flat" !!! From where do they assumed that if it's a house it's a flat inside? They should knock at the "flat"s door when they come, not at the house door wright?
It's there anything I can do to let them know there's no flat here, so save the postage on the letters?
  • I watched some television adverts on the run up to christmas. They stated that if you wanted freeview then there was a one off fee (for the box) and nothing else to pay. Please note TVL that I using the 'nothing else to pay' implication in the television adverts and that if you want my money for a licence you can either:

    a) Swivel
    b) Approch the advertisers as it's their mistake and not mine. Flase advertising is not good practise so let them pay for their advertising mistakes and pay a tv licence fee because I have 'nothing else to pay'
