Afternoon all, hope we are all well. Not done anything yet today. Well sent a few emails and played on my wii but other than that nothing. I am now getting some free bingo in and doing some crafting. Anyone any idea where I can get a nice potted plant for my mum for easter?
Well bingo doesnt like me anymore, however I have made £118.19. So I am going to call it a day with that. Was good while it lasted0 -

ppppppppphhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww.................I survived my first day back in the 'real world' of work!!!
Everyone was really nice, I was given a tour of the building. There are just over 40 staff in the building and each office I visited someone said 'oooh, is this Keren?'
I've been Health and Safety'd, I've got a PC network login, I'm even on the intranet internal phone book already!! Have to confess I got to 10 minutes before leaving and it was all starting to go in one ear and out the other a bit as there was so much to take in. I've come home and made a few notes about what I'll be doing. Free parking though, which is an immediate benefit compared to my last job and less money to think about paying out each month (mad that the MSe-me thinks about stuff like parking!!!). I've been advised to contact personnel about using my service from when I was with the council in the past for it to count towards me getting the higher number of days holidays, so I'll drop someone an email tomorrow.
Also turns out the Head manager in the building (who I'll be supporting as part of my job ) also grew up in Grimsbyso we had a good natter about where we both grew up - and just how close her grandparents lived to my Mum and Dad!!!!
The job really is going to be what I want it to be. I was told that when they looked at my application they said they didn't want to give me lots of typing and filing as I'd get bored, so they are hoping I want to get involved in lots of projects as time goes on. I will have some admin stuff to do (minutes, doing the post, typing some letters for a couple of managers) but they've already earmarked a couple of projects to get me involved with and it seems there may already be the scope for a few more hours, but I'll wait to see what happens about that. There is also a Marketing and Publicity working group in the department that does stuff like the course brochure twice a year and my team don't have a representative, so I've already said I'll do that if needed - might as well use my years of PR experience in some way!
So, all in all, I'm completely wiped out brain wise as there has been so much to take in, completely exhausted after all the worry of the build up to it, but I've earned some pennies, I didn't freak out at re-joining the land of 'people' and, I reckon I might even go back tomorrow!
Time for minced beef crispy pancakes and HM bread for lunch.......:T..........and then I guess I'll start AQA'ing for the rest of the day!!"Stay Wonky":D

Don't make me laugh Jinky!! You'd be jiggling your bits, never mind fluttering your eyelashes!! (or is that only for Z! and only on friday night parties!!)
Keren, well done on taking the big step! Sounds like you were ace, and they know it!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

.... some WD 40?
Be careful not to get it onto the brake discs behind the wheel.....or you won't be stopping for a while
I always call the breakdown man - even though I am quite capable of doing it, just don't want to break a nail or get wet/dirty
Well done on your first day Keren - you'll be settled into work again in no time0
