  • I am someone who always spends vocuhers instore as I didn't think the deals were relevant to me.
I live in Yorkshire, without a car so have to rely on public transport which makes places difficult to get to.
We try to go on holiday in England once a year for family of 3. Can anyone reccomend how to take advantage of the deals?

    Thanks

    hi Yvonne

well if you stay in England each year, it depends on the types of holidays that you take. Do you go on Haven holidays or Butlins or with "British Holidays".
The vouchers are worth four times as much so say for example you've got £20 in clubcard vouchers, if you post them off they will send back £80 in deals tokens towards the cost of your holiday. Also available are days out like Alton Towers, Legoland and Thorple park.

have a look here to see what deals are available -
    http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/index1.htm

BUT the more vouchers youve got, the more youve got towards the cost of your holiday.
there is an offer on with the Birds eye beef in gravy which gives you 150 points for buying three packs of beef for £1.98. If you bought 12 packs of beef, this would cost you £7.92...in return you would receive 600 clubcard points (150x4) which is worth £6 in vouchers or £24 towards the cost of your holiday!

    They do lots of deals.

    Magazines/Health Clubs/Megabowl/Blockbuster/Many Resaurants/Shearings/Leger/Drifters/Butlins/British Holidays/Haven/Avis/Marriot/Macdonald Hotels/Ramada Jarvis/Moat House/Hastings Hotels/Loads and Loads of Days out offers.....

Plenty for you to use your vouchers on.

£11.25 of clubcard vouchers will get you 12 movie rentals from Blockbusters :T

Check out the link posted by others above, click on How Do I Spend, then there's a menu of Deals on the lefthand side of the page.
  • I never pay more than £150 for my holiday, just paid for this year's in Blackpool for October halfterm which is just after my daughter's birthday & it's cost me £120. I do like Butlins & such like from when I went when I was younger but have always found them very expensive.

Just checked online & my account is showing at 402 points which converts to £4 in vouchers. I use Tesco DVD Rental (£13.97 a month) & Powergen (£60 a month) so get points through both of them as well as my shopping instore which is usually around £20 a fortnight.

I don't go to Tesco every week as it's on the outskirts of the centre & not easy to get to compared to Sainsbury's which is near the bus station.

I loaded up my car's boot with beef as I'd promised a hostel in Chichester some beef, and the rest was loaded onto a van to be distributed to homeless hostels around Portsmouth (and or stored in freezers for later deliveries). Th estaff at the hostel in Chichester were really grateful - they said meat isn't often served in the meals there.

Well done thepearce. You must live fairly near to me. Have you left any beef for me? Or shall I go down to the hostel and get some? :rotfl:

I'm right by Fratton Park and have about 50 in my freezer :)

I used the tesco extra in Port Solent...... but doubt they'd do another order......currently in "heated debates" with them about what exactly their coupon policy is.
  • Did you know that If you have a Clubcard Plus(type of Debit Card) you get double points on all your spending in Tesco. They don't advertise it anymore but it is still available.
In the last 5 year my wife and I have had weekends in Monte Carlo,Gibraltar, Paris, and last year a week in Sardinia, including flights and car hire, totally payed for by CC.

Strange... I have this card, a pale greenish card but I now only get single points, should I contact them to find out why?

Thank you for this interesting thread. In a few weeks time our local Co-Op is being changed to a Tesco so I need to get to grips with not wasting my Tesco points instore. As I should be able to do ALL my shopping in one place, I should save money everyway.

I don't do holidays (as a lowly paid single parent) but this could be our ideal opportunity to be a bit creative.

I've also recently moved to Powergen so get a few points that way.
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!
