Can I use someone else's vouchers if they're not in my name? (My mum wants to give me hers).Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do.0

Believe it or not, my mum gave me hers as a birthday present!!! £30 quids worth.......£120 worth of deals, thanks mum!!
I got her to fill out a Deals Application form with her clubcard no. and signature - then when I know what vouchers I want, I'll fill in the rest and send it all off. The Deals vouchers will go to her home address, but they're not named so I'll be able to use them.

I found that looking at the Haven Holidays, also Butlins - especially with late deals, which are often half the brochure price or less, so using deal vouchers for some of the products available is not always best value!
But using deals vouchers does mean we could afford a half-term Butlins break in October, for which there were no other discounts being offered.0 -

Will post again later as I'm a bit confused about it all and would also like some advice on the best way to build up airmiles, would it be worth getting a tescos credit card, paying it off each month so avoiding interest but earning points??
All advice would be very very much appreciated.
Based on flying from London to Houston on the 5th October and returning on the 12th, with BA, you would need 5,900 Air Miles.
Alternatively, you can use Air Miles to get a discount, and pay the remainder in cash:
2,430 miles + £174
790 miles + £254
Booking direct with BA (without Airmiles) would cost £380
These are just some quick figures from the airmiles and BA website; you could probably get a better deal by doing some in-depth checking.
With regards to credit cards, the Tesco card works out the best choice for collecting Air Miles. (Thanks to another poster in a different thread for pointing this out).
Hope this helps.0 -

Considering they are charging 20,000 BA Miles from uk to Italy, I guess they just use 10 times the distance.
What an odd arrangement.
BA Miles are specifically for members of the British Airways Executive Club and in order to join you need to book and fly a qualifying flight with them, which involves either a full fare expensive economy ticket or business or first class. It is designed for frequent flyers.
BA Miles are spent in "bands" for distances, for example 12,000 to France, 50,000 to the US, 80,000 to the Far East etc. and doubled for Club, tripled for First class.
Airmiles are for more general consumption and more infrequent travellers.
Airmiles are spent generally for the actual distance flown. So for example Lisbon is about 970 miles so a return uisng airmiles will be 970x2 airmiles. Again double it for Club class etc.0 -
Dont think anyone else has posted this...I am using mine to pay for airport parking next year.
Purple parking at heathrow £2.50 vouchers gets you £10 worth of parking0 -
In March I used them to buy an annual English Heritage membership. At the time it cost £58 but now it's £62. So that's £15 in clubcard vouchers to give a couple plus up to 6 children free entry to all English Heritage sites for a year. I've been keeping a track of where we've used it and have saved over £100 in entry fees. I expect that to be over £200 by next March. Unlike the National Trust, most English Heritage properties stay open all year.
Besides that I use them on Days Out including at yesterday at Whipsnade where we saw a 2 day old white rhino.0 -
I've got back from Paris using the eurostar which was £25 in vouchers each. I'm already saving for my next trip!
I've just got myself a Tesco CC which is 0% til March 06. So I'm putting what I spend into my savings and collecting extra points too.
Its a good idea to join the Tesco clubs, such as the health club, food club.. not sure what else there is. They occaisionally send you money off vouchers and double points on your entire shop vouchers. Its also a good idea to pick up receipts that have been left at the checkout or thrown on the floor. Pick em up, take them to customer services and claim the points!!
happy collecting :rotfl:Saving money is fun :A0 -
You can also use them for 4 times value at MFI. We used £170 of vouchers to get £680 off a suite. You obviously have to see what you want at MFI, but it is a good deal if you find something you like.
BTW Expired clubcard vouchers can be added back into your account by sending them to Tesco Clubcard, and they will issue new ones. Just phone them up!0 -
