You should use special delivery just in case they go missing.

I might see if I can pay for the car rental when we go on holiday to Spain next year with vouchers- would I book with Avis and then send them the vouchers through the post in advance to cover the payment? The Avis site quoted me £600 for an Alfa 156 for two weeks- if £150 of clubcard vouchers would get me that (I.E. under £200 worth of beef) that would definitely be worth doing considering we usually pay about £300 for a poxy 307.....

    Thanks Wallace,

I've just been to the post office and mailed off a whole bunch of clubcard vouchers for my next lot of goodies. I did use special delivery which cost £3.65 to send but I think it is worth it for peace of mind.

I feel the need for more beef and gravy...

Either pick up a booklet in store or look online and choose what you want to exchange your clubcard vouchers for.

    The online link is :

    http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/deals/main.htm

but it doesn't seem to be working properly for me today!

Once you've chosen what you want either tear out the order form from the booklet or print one offline and send that in with the correct amount of vouchers. If you have to send too many vouchers, for instance if you have £11 of vouchers but only want to spend £10 then still send the £11 and the £1 change is added back to your current total and paid out again in the next batch.

The last lot of vouchers I ordered for Yates arrived back with me within a week.

Or - if you don't want to use them on anything that will inevitably cost you more expenditure - you can always list them for sale on eBay, where they often get as much as around 3 times their face value, and you can end up with incoming dosh instead of accompanying the voucher's use with yet more outgoing cash!
And then you can even put the income into a savings account, which you cannot do with the actual vouchers.

Well, I've just had to go through a right old palaver. Never realised about the deals before - I've always just spent them on groceries - but had a look at what I could get and discovered I could get RAC cover (which we did have, but tried to change, got a special deal then they mucked up, etc, etc ... long story short, we're no longer covered). And for a really good deal too - well chuffed.

Then realised that it is only for "vouchers" not "e-vouchers". Which of course, is the type I have. stupid, stupid, stupid.

Anyway, I rang them up - got speaking to some chap who really didn't seem to know what was going on - I was half convinced I was talking to someone in india or pakistan or something - anyway, he put me through to a scottish bloke who seemed to know what was what and ....

nope, can't use e-vouchers. So I have to "opt-out" of receiving them. BUT the next lot of vouchers are on their way, in e-voucher form. So when I get them, I have to send them back, get them put back on my account, then wait for another 3 months when I get my next lot of vouchers, this time in normal voucher form, so that I can print off the form and send them all back again. Grrrrrr.

We transfer our Tesco clubcard points into British Airways Executive Club miles (same principle as air miles) £2.50 in clubcard vouchers works to give you 600 miles

How do you do this? I dont see BA miles anywhere on the Clubcard site...

I have some flights Im saving up for, but Cluibcard - > Airmiles works out at the same price if I pay by buying beef, so its not really worth it.

    Cheers,

Search on the BA website instead. The info is on there.

You can have this set up to transfer automatically, so no posting vouchers.
  • I use the ba.com link as I went into our local Tesco and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about! I saved up all my vouchers last year and sent them off. I got 36,000 airmiles so it's paid for my flight to Florida this year!

    Brilliant!
