    Morning all.

No snow here but it's pretty cold with a sharp north north easterly blowing away.

JillD - well done again on your eating - and avoiding all the delicious breads!
Skintscots - thanks - I'm glad someone else did the egg thing. I was beginning to wonder if it was just a family thing.

OK so what am I doing with my Easter saturday? I need to
    • Dyson the lounge (lil bro and sil are coming down)
    • S&S everywhere ( - ditto - )
    • Find the 25 ebay things to photograph - oooh -
    • Charge up camera battery ready for ebay photographing
    • HHI
    • Deep clean utility area - this rarely gets done because it's never on Pigpen's list!
    • Get chicken from freezer to defrost for dinner tonight
    • BM
    • Bake a cake for lil bro etc. Have some cherries left so may do a cherry cake.
That should do for now. Have a good one ladies.

Serena - mine was lots of stuff from plant world - dieramas, etc. My dad ran some of the distribution seed swop for AGS or HPS a few times some years ago - huge amount of work.
Soblivion - the costume is great - I hope he appreciated it.

Right, dss1's 16th birthday today. DH has taken him and 6 of his mates to Drayton Manor Park, and then 3 of them are staying tonight. Need to tidy upstairs, make some food for them and go and get a spare wii sensor from argos.

Mouse update - a horrible thought - we have a blocked up cellar under the kitchen (we think) - what if it is full of mice? Our house is solid stone and we can't find any access points, but they seem to be coming in up the back of a kitchen cupboard. Or behind the dry lining someone put on in the kitchen to cover up the dry rot and woodworm rather than actually treat it. We need to strip back to the stone and start again but I am not doing that if it was full of mice. When we took the false ceiling out of the dining room to expose the beams a mouse skeleton fell on me

    Morning all,

Woke to sonow here but the sun has managed to clear it all away, i have washing hung outside but not sure if its to stay dry or not today, will need to keep an eye on it.

Hex - dont know how you are coping with your mouse. Mice are my worst fear the first flat we had we had mice over the winter it was sold in the spring and now if there is any hint of them I am off and running.

Not much to do in this household today I am waiting on a phone call from a friend who may be available to go shopping this afternoon, I have seen a couple of dresses I like but always want someone elses opinion, the wedding is still 5 weeks away so have a bit of time if we dont manage to get to edinburgh today.

    What needs doing -
    reload WM
    empty DW
    hoover throughout
    put clean washing away
    s&s bathroom
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all :D DD is back today and I can't wait to see her - I swear I could hug her to death I've missed her so much. *does her best to ignore fact she wants to do the same to ex:o* :j

My plan for today is to get the place hoovered and dusted through. Realised today I haven't cleaned the bath for about a week (not too bad though as since ex moved out it doesn't get used daily anymore ;) ). I've got the WM on with cleaning cloths as I've run out  I also need to wash up, but I'll do that after my lunch. Need to pop to Asda to, I thought they would be shutting early yesterday so at 4.45pm I threw the stuff I took to my sisters in the house and dived down there only to find out they were shutting at 8pm :o As a result I forgot to pick some things up, and I suggested to ex last night that he could stop for tea tonight before driving home and he's said okay (well it is a 2 hour journey on a good day!) so I said I'd do lasagne. This morning I've realised I've not got all the ingrediants in so will pop down and get them

Also need to get money from the cash machine - an aquaintance is selling an IKEA highsleeper with wardrobe and he's said I can have them both for £40 with delivery (only fair! This is what it looks like here ) the cheapest I can find anywhere similar is £99 :D DD is excited as it's going to be her birthday pressie and I've promised we'll go out and buy some cheap material and make curtains for the base and put her dolls house up underneath and things like that. Plus ex is contributing to it as well :j Oh and I'll save her current bed and he can take that with him when he gets his own place, he'll be needing a bed :rotfl::rotfl:

Right, freecycle check and then I'm off to Asda. Will sort out a proper list when I get home.

Morning all, starting to feel a bit better here but taking things easy. So have managed to sort out all the washing, can see an evening of ironing ahead and the kitchen and bathrooms just need mopping so I'm getting there. I think I'll leave the bedrooms to next week though - as someone else said "they will come round again".
I NEED hot cross buns! so off to supermarket...

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Hugs to all the sickies. If were you I'd stay wrapped up in bed all day! Just took a potter out with the dog and it's Fffffffffffreezing out there - my ears still haven't defrosted. The wind whips right through you - and there's some white stuff coming down now and then.

:rotfl: kaz you said that like it was a bad thing

:rotfl: I guess that did sound bad :rotfl: but he's been on nights for a week (12 hour shifts) and doesnt get much sleep in the day as he has to do the school runs with DD, and then as it was his last night he didnt go to bed so grouchy as hell and best avoided. He's back on days today for the next 4 days, so was in for 7am (after I found him asleep in the armchair at 2am  ).

Hopefully he'll be ok tonight, but its a situation I've got used to.

And deciding I couldnt be bothered to do any tea for him last night, went through and he was tucking into Lobster - dont know where he had that hidden cheeky so and so.

So to today, we've had about 6 seasons so far with wind, rain, snow, hail, sunshine etc but seems a bit calmer now and nothing has settled. I'm still sat in dressing gown having been very good and updated all spends on computer before logging on to here. Wasnt going to venture out but may well do as its not quite so rough out so best get DD into gear as only me and her here today (DS at his dads for weekend).

Hugs to everyone who has sore throats and achy bits, Mudbath and vanilla to name but 2

Nicki it does get easier (my DS has been going to his dads at weekends for 10 years now and I still miss him when he's there) and as for missing ex, give it 6 or 7 months before moving on. The number of people who have split up and then want to go back after that amount of time is unbelievable. When I left my ex I asked him to have me back after 7 months but he'd moved on by then (altho I realise it would have been the wrong thing to do now).

:hello: to everyone else and as I'm now going to reboil the kettle anyone else for a cuppa:coffee:

Oh and mice are soooo cute especially the little field mice that my dear old cat used to bring in :rotfl:
