Right.. I am FURIOUS!!!
at 9am I got a phone call from OT saying they were cancelling DS2's appointment and would send him another one.. I had already sent him to school with a note to meet me so I had to ring the school and get someone to locate him and tell him I wouldn't be going.. after getting him all psyched up to go they let him down.. there will be hell to pay over this.. the assistant manager of the education and health service was coming with me.. so I'll be watching the heads roll!!!
Off to bank to put some money in for my mother.. and need to collect tiddles.. so... back soon when I'll have to complete my ENTIRE list by 3pm!!!
Anyone up for a 2HC?? lol (2 hour challenge!! )
They did that with DS1's eye appointment once, but I wasn't told. I stood in reception and told them that I had pulled him out of school for this appointment, then they change it without lettinmg me know so they had better find someone to do the appointment because I was going nowhere. I asked why they had changed it, why I hadn't been notified, I said I had to get a taxi here and get childcare for my youngest son, take the day off work, I went on and on and yes he did have his appointment that day!
Now I am in the habit of calling the day before to double check, especially at that hospital, they have a really bad habit of doing it.0 -

Having a fuzzy headed morning - woke up this morning in a tizz thinking i'd got to go to work but I didn't so I shuffled back off to bed.
Still having car trouble after last weeks fiasco with the repaired clutch cable going and having to pay for a tow- got so miffed about it, as the repaired clutch cable is still slipping that, rather than paying to have a new clutch fitted (which I think is the source of the problem), the rear shocks that are shocking and having to put my crate through an expensive MOT at the end of the month, I've bitten the bullet and bought a new car instead
.
You should have seen the salesman face drop, after I'd negiotiated a better part-ex on my banger and said "oh, I'll need my tax disk back you know cause I've still got 7 months on it", I knocked him back on the repeated offer of finance - "I don't believe in credit so I'll take it out of my savings, thank you very much" - he looked at me like I'm an alien. I don't want to get things on the drip when I've already saved up - can't you understand Mr Salesman!!
So I'm picking up my newer baby on Thursday, if my old banger lasts that long!

Yeah Ig!!! New car party at your place then? Do you have a name for it yet? Can I call it Onion? After the baby gibbon in Mokey World?
I hate when they go on about the finance. I stumped my salesman when I pulled out a calculator and told him what I would end up paying for the car and told him that I would need it to be half the showroom price if I were to get finance! His face was a picture!
Eventually I said to him 'I have this much and I want one of those.' So they bought in one of those for me, happily too. Then I said, 'oh but this much has to get me a second car too'. Gone was all his profit! :rotfl:0 -

A lot of kids have a alot of knowledge, but it is not alwasy accurate. I like to think the very graphic answers i give put some of them off having children until they are approaching 30. Some of them do not want to approach mam and dad, and have heard some real rubbish from mates, so i agree with getting a book as well for a different perspective.
We may have some more interesting conversations this time with the new baby, as they were all really embarassed about my BFing with DS, so nephew who was then 6 was told i used an invisible bottle, which of course made him more curious than if told the truth. This time he will be 8.
An invisible bottle? Words fail me!
Do you specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics Michelle?0
