Hello everyone,
Busy weekend here and when I did get online to post I was having trouble connecting into the internet. Fingers crossed my modem will come before Easter.
Have to get into the kitchen in a min to make a batch of small cakes and ice them for DGS. Play-group is having a little party for him as it's his birthday on Saturday. Ninny's providing the cakes. It's nearly 8am now so must dash.
Smoky My thought's and prayers go to you. I hope Eric has a comfortable night. <hugs> to you & the children.
Hope everyone else has a good sleep. Catch you later. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
What did you eventually put in the soup then?
Last night, the wrong side of midnight  , I put the chicken carcass in the sc with some old potatoes, even older carrots and a couple of chopped onions. Covered it with water and didn't sleep a wink all night for worrying  Left it on low until 12.45 this dinnertime when I drained the liquid off and skimmed the fat off. The liquid went back in the sc with some slighly newer tatties, carrots, onions, some chopped up green stuff out of a jar, a couple of baillifs and some salt and pepper. I "nearly" put a chopped up yellow pepper thing in it but I tried a piece first and it was so nice that I, err, ate it all
Left it on low all afternoon until 7.30-ish when I scoffed the lot with some part-charred bread
I'm almost looking forward to going shopping on Tuesday so that I can get some more stuff to [strike]exterminate[/strike] experiment with

Hi folks,
Smoky...have sent you a pm...love and prayers
Lazy day to-day but managed to cook dinner, shop for yet more food, finish the back door curtain ( on that pole Mioliere!) and got two café curtains for windows from remainder of material....so feeling proud of myself, very nearly had a conniption trying to use the thingy I bought in Lidl a couple of weeks ago which does eyelets but got there in the end bullied or encouraged by DD4.
