Csarina - give us a GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exoh has just turned up - alerted to scenes of appalling child neglect by the above named (not you csarina, dd) who had texted him to say that she's starving, there's nothng to eat in the house and never is and she wishes it was a Daddy Weekend. I know all this now because ... ahem .... i was cleaning her mobile and her outbox accidentally fell out and opened into my lap ..... ahem.

The potential pathos of the scene where the grim faced determined father bashes down the door of the evil witch's hovel, scooping up his beloved dd into his manly arms before riding off to the nearest caff on his faithful white steed were somewhat marred by the fact that by the time he could be a**ed to get up the heroine of our story was tucking into a big plate of peanut butter sarnies (HM bread of course) and playing a lovely game of cards with the wicked witch of west london.

They have gone off to Mr T for some reason - fridge is bursting at the seams so hope they don't buy anythng perishable - and I am fuming as now I'll be stuck with him all day.

Smoky - continuing to send positive thoughts to you
Martyn - hope you're having a better day
    *******************************************************

You are welcome to the GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR but I'll pass on the 11Yr old if you don't mind...............had enough with my four, although to be honest they were not that bad, I have a feeling thats its playing one against the other time for reactions. Perhaps the wicked witch should lock her in the coal cellar and starve her for a few days:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: then perhaps she might have a reason to grouse to darling daddy.........

Well my day started fine, cup of tea which I took upstairs and drank in bed. Got visitors last night, so went down to clear up the last few dregs of washing up, plus the best glasses. Was just congratulating myself on doing it double quick, was relaxing with another cuppa and watching the birds out of the window for a few minutes when there is a vision in pink flannellette pjs, sobbing that she's overslept and the train to see bf goes at 10.26! (this is 10.10! (.... and I haven't had a shower and I haven't got any money.... etc etc).

Get a banana and box of juice and she's in most of her clothes in 2 minutes. Has toothbrush and makeup to do on the train. Socks and shoes added in the car, gets cash out of my purse (I'm well used to folks wanting dosh at the last min) . Have talked to her soothingly for 10 mins on the way. APparently requesting a shower when she gets there because she has overslept constitutes 'weird' behaviour:confused:

DH can't work out why I'm disappearing down the road in his car as he turns the corner from walking to get the paper. Guest's sis is a yr older than dd so understood what was going on and went to make herself and her fiance a cuppa.

Get back and provide breakfast for guests. THey scofffed loads of my hm bread made into toast. One was wholemeal and the other brown with seeds.

Had a lovely day baking etc. Did seedy rolls, chorley cakes, hot cross buns without XX on. CBA and in any case it's not Good Friday. Lunch was leftovers from last night's dinner, which went exceedingly well. We had

Antipasto ..parma ham, roasted red pepper hummus (D & DD's recipe) Beans with pesto, HM bread, olives.

Sausage pasta with creamy tomato sauce, this was a recipe from here as well, but don't know to whom credits are due.

Pud was Brownies with Cointreau in them, topped with hm vanilla ice cream (guest kindly churned this while he watched rugby) and hot choc/fudgey sauce. Sooooooooooooooooo good.

Latte's and espressos all round and a good [STRIKE]goss[/STRIKE] chat as well, lots of catching up to do with friend and our OH's had never met.

It's whatever we can find in the fridge, plus fresh baking for a meal tonight.

Catching up with sewing.. hemming trs for ds. Re-zipping a fleece.... replacing a short zip with a full length one. WILl be much more comfy and easier to get on and off.

I'm not doing very well at stringing words together at the moment but I'll try.

The support and kindness that I've been given lately has lifted me beyond belief and I feel stonger than I have done for quite a while now. Smoky, my support is your support. It's given unconditionally, freely and with genuine love so please take it and gain the same strength that I have from it.

    Martyn.

What a wonderful person you are Martyn :A

I have been moved to tears on reading your kind words, which has also prompted me to post a few of my own today having kept an eye out for Smokey's updates and praying every day for some better news, so it saddens me greatly to read that Eric's not doing very well at the moment :(

You've been in my thoughts and prayers daily Smokey and I'm hoping you can take strength from our collective support and prayers to help get you and your family through the next few difficult days. Don't give up hope yet hun, Eric is a fighter and they say where there's a will there's a way :kisses3:

I've also read your story too Martyn whilst scanning the threads daily, although feeling somewhat ashamed that I haven't offered support before now :o but I see you've been well looked after by the wonderful, caring OS bunch :T :D

Great to see you sounding more positive, remember, this is just the start of a whole new chapter in your life and you never know what's waiting around the corner for you ;)

Huge hugs to you both and anyone else who might want/need one too! :grouphug: :A

    Hello all,

Many, many *hugs* to Smokey & family - I'm sending you positive thoughts.

I hope everyone else is fine. Hello to all the new people who have joined since I last posted - there are rather a lot of you :D I've had a lovely weekend - went to visit twink and got to see kyle and family which was good. It's been raining on and off today so I think we're in for a few more days of squelching about.

Found out today that someone else using the MSE forums has got the same username as me (except theirs doesn't start with a capital letter). Anyone any idea if there is anything I can do about it? We both joined at about the same time, but I joined first (and have more posts). Kyle did tell me to email the site, but i can't get it to work :o

Things to do this evening: Make tea (just sandwiches as we had a gorgeous lunch); put the WM on; make an Easter basket; fill in forms for a certificate of no impediment :D

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...
